I finally finished running the lines and wires, and getting everything cleaned up.

The air compressor is a Vaiar 480c.

The tank is some custom dealio I found on eBay. 3gal aluminium

I'm silly, but I put 2x 1/4 , 1x 3/8", & 1x 1/2" QD plugs into it. I know I'll never use the 3/8" and 1/2", but what else was I going to do with the empty ports besides plug them up.

There is a 165on/200off PSI switch plumbed into the tank to break the ground signal when 200PSI is reached.

The filter/intake for the compressor is outside the box so I can get a good solid source.

I have 2 airlines and the power coming out the back. There is a small channel formed by the top of the box and the back of the rear seats perfect for hiding stuff like these lines.

The air line with the gauge on it goes to the locker. the regular keeps it at 100psi so as not to blow up my ARB. The line without the gauge runs up to the a-pillar where I will eventually get a lo-tek gauge pod to mount my nice 52mm air pressure gauge.

I used a female QD on both lines so that I can unhook everything to remove the box if needed.

Dude! That is awesome! Great job. Have you tried it on your tires? Lower the PSI to around 15 on all four and test it out. Any idea how long it would take to bring them back up to about 32 PSI?

Sweet set up Gris; even more inspiration for my own 8) The heavy duty orange air line and polished tank look cool and I see you've also got the 100% duty cycle compressor. Why don't you put an air pressure sender on the tank and use an electronic gauge to save some space and money?

I haven't tested it yet. I don't really have time during the week. most projects during the week are worked on during lunch break at the office parking lot :P

This weekend I'm going kick on the compressor, head to a gas station with free air and let down the tires then time them back up. I usually keep the MTRs at 40 psi, not 32, so will test time from about 18psi up to 32 and 40.

It charges the 3gal tank from 0-200psi in about 6 minutes. I have a small leak somewhere and the tank drops to 165 PSI in about 5 minutes then takes 2ish to get back to 200. I'm going to soap the connections this weekend to see if I can find the leak. (Thanks for that tip Jason)

Mike, please explain the electronic gauge and pressure sender. Just a pic or link so I know what you're talking about please.

Looks real clean ,way better than my mess I got ,but I dont care it works
I would look at getting a lower pressure swich
200psi is very high and not needed IMO
I got one that is on at 105 and off at 125 got it from a "heavy truck parts store" they sell all kinds of junk for 18 wheelers
also wach for heat I know of at least 1 person who burnt up a compressor just airing up tires but the compressor was mounted in the rear and he had all kinds of junk on it
You may get a small 12V fan and mount it in the box so it comes on with the compressor

my craftsmanship sucks. here's a pic of both boxes back there. I still haven't carpeted the smaller one.
