Keep two things in mind. 1. Our Liberty only had 1,700 miles on the odometer at the time of the install. 2. My beautiful and most gracious wife (Who okayed the install) does most of the driving. Therefore, I do not have great quantitative data revealing the before and after assessments. However, I can say that the shifts are “shorter and cleaner” than before as stated by Transgo. You might be a little disappointed if you’re expecting a powerhouse, throw you back into the seat, type of shifting. If you aren’t happy with the lag time between the factory shifts, then the Transgo might be your ticket. The cost is minimal for the Kit. You can really save the denero if you install the Kit yourself. It cost me $150 for the install. The mechanic lost about 7.5 quarts of trany oil during the process, which we gladly topped off with AMSOIL ATF. Unfortunately, our wonderful engineers at DCX decided that we didn’t need a dip stick for our newer Liberty’s. So the mechanic had to run the Jeep over to the Dealership to use their “Dip Stick” to make sure we were up to par. I hope that somebody makes an aftermarket dip stick so we can at least check our fluids. This is ridiculous………………Anyway, I have always respected Transgo and their products, so I was a trusting guinea pig. Since we plan on keeping our Liberty for LIFE, it was a good investment! It was certainly a monumental moment as we took our first steps towards building our little Jeep.
