Last I saw the Detriot E-locker only was availiable for the d44 and d60's,they may have made one for the d30's,not real sure.

I seem to remember reading they released it at SEMA a few months back. Here's the only info I could find now...

http://www.eatonperformance.com/press_r ... ffers.html

More expensive than an ARB and since I already have an ARB in the rear, it looks like thats whats going up front.
Looks like they aren't released yet, can't find any 4x4 that sells them yet.Execpt for the cost it would be a nice alternitive if you don't want a auto locker or a ARB,It actually cheaper if you think about it.Since it is electric there is no compressor to buy but if you already have a ARB in the rear might as well go with a ARB in the front since you already have a compressor. To bad they don't make one for the 8.25,that would be killer to have the Detriot-E lockers from and rear.

Anyone running ARB air lockers. How much for the install? If I get some I plan on putting in the compressor, lines and switches myself. I just need to have the diff work done by someone who know what they are doing. Also would it be a good idea to gear down at that point and about how much to go to 4.10's on both.

Thanks a bunch.

Going ARB's F/R? If so plan on paying about $1500-$1600 for the lockers,$150-$250 for the compressor, and about $250-$400 for labor per axle(ARB's cost more to install because you have to drill and tap the housing for the air line). As far as gearing to 4:10's goes---$200 for the 8.25 gears, about $100 for 8.25 master install kit,$500-$1500 for the d30a gears(depends on how you get the gears, new housing with 4:10's in it,used 4-cylinder d30a,or buying the gears from a dealer) and if you do all at once the labor rate will be about the same(maybe a lttle more) as doing just the ARB's.So you are looking at about $3000+ for the ARB's and 4:10's,though can be done for cheaper if you do all/most the work yourself.

Yeah! LSD (track lock in the rear) was useless. Get lockers in the rear. Seems the TT worked well for those in the front with lockers in the rear.

anyone wanna buy my classic gibson axe? I got a Les Paul I can transfer into fast cash that might cover he cost of lockers!!LOL You have to break my arms to get that thing.

I think if and when I have the cash I will just get the arb lockers and leave the gearing.

Thanks for the reality check.

Is this new? Looks like another option up front?

To bad we can't use OX lockers in the KJ's,it requires a special diff cover with the shift fork in it(the locker is cable operated),and that diff cover will not fit in our KJ's due to the diff mounting brackets  .
