One item good dealers have is a thriving wholesale parts business. If you see their delivery van stopping at body shops, that is a good sign. Money helps the dealership bottom line and if they are smart they will pay people what they are worth and attract the best team members including great technicians. Better technicians and parts people net better sales (Caterpillar's reason for their success)
Another item to look for the Liberty CRD, is a dealer who services other Common Rail Diesel vehicles such as the Sprinter, newer Dodge Cummins, Mercedes, or Duramax powered units. This way they have a larger base of experiance to draw from and not just hook up the computer, look for codes, and keep replacing parts until the problem goes away.
