It's all good....we got the KJ home last night and all is well. The parents haven't killed me...but they're not happy about loaning the money to fix it. I happened to crack my front diff (for those that didn't know), but a HUGE HUGE THANKS to Bugnout (Scott) FOR EVERYTHING he did for me last night. Scott is one of the nicest people I have ever met; he drove me and my friend to the local U-Haul (20 mins. from the park), helped me get a 2 wheel pull behind dolly for my Jeep and volunteered to help pull my Jeep home where I met my dad and he pulled it home the remainder of the way. I just didn't want to try and make it home, it was driving okay to the parking lot, but for everyone who has snapped their diffs, it's not worth risking. We all need to assume the dangers in wheeling our Jeeps and the risk's involved with breaking things. DON'T try limping it home...if everyone remembers the catastrophy that happened about 3 months ago with the Terra Jeep Club member. Just a HUGE thanks to all the Midwest guys for all their help and offers.

For all those that didn't attend...you missed a great day of wheeling! It was nice meeting everyone I haven't met yet, including you MP Jeeper, and all those I had previously met. Callaway (Rob) did an awesome job of organizing the event and getting all the food and shirts. Everyone did great,

I'll be back in the game soon guys.....for now, it's off to shopping for a new Dana 30A!! :x

Oh and I got home in time to get cleaned up and got to the wifes office Halloween party by 10:00. She was steaming when I walked in the door, but I got ready in about 10 minutes and we headed out. A couple of drinks and she had forgotten that I was late. :D

Good to hear you got away clean. That might have been messier than the shattered front diff :?

It was great to meet you all and put faces to the usernames - it's nice to have solid group of good guys getting together to have fun :D

Glad to hear you got the Liberty home.

Not sure how your independent suspension works in terms of the axles but if you leave the stub shaft in the hub cannot seperate. The guy who rolled on the way home took the entire shaft out without leaving the stub shaft in. The hub separated, causing the wheel to come off. And he didn't have something secured in the back. Ultimately that's what caused the accident to be fatal.

Check out http://www.badlandsoffroad.com/ Lots of threads in this forum on the badlands.

We ran the Green trails this weekend, others have done the orange without too much trouble.

I'm glad you got home in time...I was hoping we weren't guna make you late. The U-Haul took FOREVER and a day...I was getting pretty tired of the same thing over and over just to get a dang ol' 2 wheel dolly trailer!!!!!! That CRD pulled it great...really impressed with your rig Scott.

Everyone did great...and I mean everyone. Chris...you were awesome man...you took everything slow and got thru every obstacle like a pro. Your buddies did awesome too...really cool of those guys (and the others in the bigger yellow TJ..not Angus) to wheel with us "grocery getters". We got some funny looks but it's all worth it in the end. The KJs did great. And yes...the pic of me pulling the JK will be classic. Make sure to post ALL the pics...including my carnage! We can all look back on it besides the downside of me breaking and laugh at it. Hope your buddy gets his Jeep fixed soon too!

I expect to have another run like this one in the future...wonder if we can get everyone out there in late Nov. depending on the wierd Indiana weather.
