Having a locker in the rear and a True Trac in the front will not stop you from blowing the front housing, I have both and still blew mine. You don't have to be going fast to get the front tires in the air, just a bump and they're up. Crawling doesn't always get you where you need to go, and sometimes you have to just put your foot in it a little.
When the spinning front tire gets air borne and then drops on a surface where tire suddenly grips is the problem. Droping on a slick surface decreases the chance of breakage since the tire doesn't grip on the slick surface and generally keeps spinning.
Lets face it, our front housing sucks

Granted our D30A's suck(hello HP44) but I always have my brakes applied about halfway to make sure my TT is "locked" if I have to goose it up/over,in 4-low I can easily over power my brakes so my front wheels are rarely ever spinning different speeds.I use my ARB and TT,I don't try something without them(granted the TT is a LSD but always have my brakes applied).
