We got the Q Loader working last night and put tried two tunes out. The first tune was the first stab that Alligator tried. It had a bunch of low end grunt but laid down on the top end.
The second tune was one that Charlie tweeked a bit. It definitely had more upper end grunt. He said that the second tune should get better economy though. I think I liked the 1st tune better but I can always switch between the 3 tunes (stock, mod1 and mod2). I am going to experiment and drive them and see which ones work better.
Both tunes are supposed to have the EGR turned off. I had no CEL. I want to verify that the EGR isn't working just to make sure. How could I do that? I do have Vag-Com, it is capable of loggin data in OBD II. Or, could I unplug it and see if I get a CEL?
We took the ECM and the TCM out of the Rig. We took the ECM out of the rig to have a back up. The TCM didn't have a M with a circle around it on it anywhere. We are going to have to get some help on this.
What we need is to have one of Charlie's "tools" hooked up while someone gets their jeep flashed from the DC scan tool. Charlie's "tool" will see what it going on and get more info.
Does anyone know any cool techs at the Dealer?
Another question. What is the rail pressure relief valve set at?
Is it the "Q Loader," Charlie's" Tool" that gets wired up to the "ECM" and "TCM" to modify the engine computer controller software and transmission shifting programs?
Why not ask a dealership's service tech for a copy of the flash, they are not over paid and should be easy to gather information from?
No idea of file size or compatible connector to download onto laptop or memory stick.
