Hmm, That's an interesting idea. I believe there is a trans temperature warning light. There were no warning lights on at the time and I believe I saw the trans temp symbol at startup. I was pushing it pretty hard on the return trip and it stayed locked in OD and it seemed to shift normally through all gears. I'll also check the level again.
I scanned the codes and this is what is current set.
P0700 - MIL Request from Trans Control Module (SAE) or Control Module Defective
P0725 RPM Signal from ECU Circuit Failure
The fluid level is correct.
I guess it's time to make an appointment with the dealer.
