245/70/16 Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos are a popular choice for stock KJs. No rubbing.

I am thinking about swapping out my ST's. After the snow comes tonight and I have to drive in it in the morning I'm sure I will want to even more. However, will the Revos still look good if I get a lift sometime in the future?

I had to get a new set of tires after my STR's wore out. I got a set of 225/70/16 BFGoodrich All-Terrains. I still have them and they only saw 5,000 miles on them. 80% tread left and Im looking for someone to buy them.

No rubbing on stock '06 with 245/75 LT Revos. Can't gaurantee anything as to the '04s and earlier due to the different front bumper.

Hmmm.. Is it because of the bumper that large sizes would rub on 04 and earlier model KJs? Just wondering..

Ben

The bumper is the only significant model year change I know of that could have an effect so that's why I mentioned it.

Actually a suspension lift that does not change the bump stops and only the at-rest height (which encompass nearly all KJ lifts) should not allow you to run any larger size tires than stock suspension. Suspension still drops out at the same spot (unless limited by new shocks) and the compression still stops in the same spot when the suspension arms hit the bump stops. Either the tire fits in the wheel well through the suspension's travel or it doesn't. Lift has no effect. Like with my stock suspended Jeep rolling on 31's :D

Wheel backspacing, custom control arms, relocated suspension mounting points, body trimming, etc. these things make a diffence on what tire can be run.
