The guy's website alone makes me cry BULLSHIP. about it. Smells like snake oil.

I'm looking into LP systems, that will fog vapor into the intake after the turbo. What I have not yet found, are any numbers on how much LP is consumed by any particular kit, and the payoff for that added fuel. I'm not looking for stupid replacements for diesel, just a combined flow that will up the mileage when I'm not towing.

Back in the old days of nozzles that peeed/sprayed the fuel into the combustion chamber, mixing was not what it is now for clean burning and getting all the energy out of the fuel and having the LP fogged into the manifold increased the torque. I would bet this would work great on a pre-'89 MACK truck or some other smoke black belcher that had the timing set correctly.

With our Common Rail injection system and all of its management system, add LP fuel to the intake, the boost will rise and cut back the diesel fuel.

To break even or save some money, you will need to buy the LP by the yard tank load and pump it your self into your on board tank, not the 20lb tanks that cost around $20 to fill.

To be totally honest, your money would be better invested in campaigning for enforcing grease trap ordinances and collecting the bio diesel stock :!: :!:

Actually it isn't BS. CNG is the cheapest fuel source availible outside of electric. There is a very good reason why most large genset units burn natural gas. The cost for this unit however is ludicris. Who in their right mind would pay $7000.00 for that system? Unless you are driving all day in town so you could refill the tank periodicaly, the ROI would be so far down the road that you would have traded the vehicle in before the break even point. It would be the same mentality behind purchasing a Biopro reactor, but at least with the Biopro one can make and carry enough fuel for a long trip. A tank of CNG has a very limmited range.

a lot of diesel gas systems here in Australia, works really well, even on the CRD's, more torque and some really impressive mpg's being reported, cleans up the emissions if done right too.

and gas is 70 cents a litre over here as opposed to $1.30 and up for the diesel.

I think the systems run something between 10 per cent and 20 percent substitution and usually cut it in above about 1000 to 1200 rpm.

I've already seen several articles where the aftermarket shops are revisiting LPG injection systems - but now, instead of just dumping it in for torque and power, they're experimenting to see just how small of a continuous bleed is needed for a significant increase in fuel economy - to stretch out the vehicles diesel and LPG fuel supply.

One shop I read about is taking one of their small LPG injection systems and modifying it to use CNG with the same idea in mind - a low percentage bleed of CNG to give enough improvement in fuel economy overall such that the cost for running CNG and diesel would be lower than diesel alone.

Details? Improvements? Cost per mile? Mile-per-fill of CNG / LPG?
