Back in the old days of nozzles that peeed/sprayed the fuel into the combustion chamber, mixing was not what it is now for clean burning and getting all the energy out of the fuel and having the LP fogged into the manifold increased the torque. I would bet this would work great on a pre-'89 MACK truck or some other smoke black belcher that had the timing set correctly.
With our Common Rail injection system and all of its management system, add LP fuel to the intake, the boost will rise and cut back the diesel fuel.
To break even or save some money, you will need to buy the LP by the yard tank load and pump it your self into your on board tank, not the 20lb tanks that cost around $20 to fill.
To be totally honest, your money would be better invested in campaigning for enforcing grease trap ordinances and collecting the bio diesel stock
