Some success, and some not so successful, work on the KK today:
1. Installed RRO Superslider rock rails:

I'll try to post more info Sunday, but if I can't get to it then, it probably won't be until Independence Day weekend. I think they'll provide appropriate protection for the lower rocker panels. They came with useless instructions for the KJ which in no way applied to these made for the KK. Some of it fit up well, others required some reaming and/or shimming. Took longer than it could have, but I'm pleased with the end result
(especially since there is no other aftermarket provider actively selling and promoting KK rock rails). I'm anxious for RL to get things squared away and come back to pursuing developing some KK products.
2. Installed (2) additional spring isolators in my JBA 2.5" lifted rear. Brought it up about 3/4" and now the rear is slightly higher than the front. Well worth the limited amount of time it took.
3. Tried to change the oil on my KK - well actually did change my oil, but the filter -- OMG, the people responsible for its placement should be disciplined. Access to the KK oil filter is horrible. After 2 trips to buy an oil filter end cap wrench and more extensions and U-joints for my socket wrench, I gave up in frustration. I don't have time right now to mess with something that stupid. Unbelievable a mass produced vehicle would have such horrible access to such a critical maintenance item. Looks like this fall I'll be digging into remote oil filter setups.
KK rock rails have been offered from RL for some time now,no one just orders them,Digger has a set.
