I'm still waiting for Rev. Mudd to return and see what he might have on hand. Otherwise I might go with an All-J Franken Lift but I hate to spend almost a grand if I don't have to. I still have the Pep Boys All Terrain tires in 245-75x16 on rims in my garage, but Mud Terrains are on the horizon. I still need a rear locker ($450) and rock rails ($350) too! So, I will need a little more patience. And I talked to the insurance company today and got nothing about a salvage title. I will have to make some more calls. They finally got the yard where my poor old Liberty is berthed to send me my license plates. I should get them this week, they said. So I'm still not done with them (insurance company).

Camping for me is a piece of cake! I just do it in the Jeep itself. My big 4000lb protective tent. :p

Hi Eric, I didn't know that they made an Aussie locker for the Chrysler 8.25, but I really hadn't looked either. I was really happy with the Power Trax No Slip that I had in my silver Liberty. I really hadn't thought about a different locker. Thanks for jarring me back into reality. I know that www.rocky-road.com has the Power Trax for a little over $400. I guess that I owe it to myself to look at Aussie since you mentioned it. Thanks!

By the way, I am going to check out getting something like Soft Eights in 15x7 for the '05 Renegade since I think the tires would be less expensive in 15 inch, or is that a wrong assumption on my part? Either way, I am still going to need another set of wheels for mud tires.

Oh, and regarding a trip to Badlands the end of August, I have previously agreed to help my oldest son in a public service event (amateur radio stuff) for the area MS Ride. This is a bike ride where riders collect donations that are given to the MS Society (multiple sclerosis). This is an event I have worked the past 15 or so years. If another weekend is possible, I will be there.

As of right now, My ability to come to the wheeling trip depends solely on my ability to get skids/hooks...

I might be able to make it to this if I can pull the funds together to buy a couple mods before the event. The first updates would be a lift, offroad tires, skink sliders, and a transmission skid. Later I'll probably add a Powertrax no-slip (awesome locker for the KJ), Rubicon wheels, ARB bumper, and Warn Powerplant winch.
