That was me that broke in Moab. These were the old Gen 3 arms I got from Al when LOST had a group by back in 2006. I was really worried about these during the trip after reading about the breaking issue and took an OEM one along just in case. I was very glad I did, as we did not see another vehicle on the trail that entire day. If it had broken on the White Rim and I did not have a spare, I would really have been ticked off. Luckily, I had heard about the inferior welding/design on these and took a back up along.
I just installed the Gen 4.5 arms yesterday only to find that they are rubbing my tires all the time. That was, and is, a very big disappointment to me as I had read how these new 4.5s are supposed to be the cats meow. Now I have a Jeep in the garage that cannot be driven until I can get a set of tires that have less section width, or change the backspacing on the wheels. In either case, it is going to cost more money for something that is supposed to fix tire rub and alignment issues.
The Frankenlift is 2 years old. I had AllJs make it like the old style after having two of their custom poly spacers fail within a few months of install. All Js is a great organization and takes good care of their customers. The issue with their custom spacers was limited to a single bad batch that I just happened to get.
Oh

... you are on here... don't know how I missed that
Nicely done on the field repair *thumbs up*
