I always used cardboard when I lived in Canada. It doesn't have to cost anything, just block the airflow.

This is the FIA cover that CATCRD and a couple of other folks are using

http://www.gofia.com/index.cfm?pageID=14&productSeries=2&acc=1&model=181&year=2005&step=3

FYI - you definitely confused me - CRD_Joe with only 3 posts??? - but then I found CRD Joe with 600+
so you might get mixed up occasionally

Welcome to LOST

I have and use the fia winter front/ and summer screen.

They work, and look ok.

However the stupid stick on buttons are crappy.

If you use alcohol and prep/clean the area it's all good (as i have done)
however, the actual female part of the button comes off of the base of the button.

And if you use the summer screen in the summer, expect your ac to work at a reduced capacity, and i expect coolant temps/iat/egt to be higher.

Here is my cheap fix. Found a very stiff kind of plexi-board near my dumpster. Cut out the shapes to fit behind each slot. Painted silver grey. Drilled holes for tiewraps to pass thru. In Texas I only needed to block 4 slots. Two on the driver side and two in the passenger side (one is an air scoop). Remove grill (no tools required) and install blockers.

They work great...brings CRD up to temp quickly...holds temp in the radiator during the day for easier warmup. CHEAP!

After you stick the snaps on drill holes through the middle and use a pop rivit. Works well.

I noticed no reduction of A/C capacity even on hot days with the summer bug screen on. Of course, I didn't do an A/B comparison either, but I never felt like the A/C was insufficient.
