SPACERS 1.25" thick, 5 on 4.5", 6061T6 aluminum SPACERS

I have 265/75r16 on stock rims.

Will this spacer:

1.25" thick, 5 on 4.5", 6061T6 aluminum spacers

work or will it stick out too much? And rub other things? Right now and rubbing my front swaybar.

Also if you put spacer in front do you need them in the rear too? I'm not talking about for looks.

i would say go ahead and put them in front and in the rear. U dont NEED them in the rear, but it would look a lil better i think. That much spacing on your stock wheels should put those tires out right around where u need/want them to be. no more swaybar rubbing thats for sure

boblemoche is running 285/75 on stock rims and 1.25" spacers iirc. of course he has a custom bumper and worked pinch welds. :juggle:

ah, his front bumper is AWESOME dont get me wrong, but that bumper of his has nothing to do with his clearance really. with an exacto knife, u can trim that inner wheel well liner to give u more than enough room for those 265s, but there really is NO WAY of getting around the pinch weld issue. i mean hell, my tires are taller but a lil narrower than Bobs with less backspacing and with the trimming i did, my 33s fit just fine, no rub at all, and no noticable missing peices from the bumper (to the un-trained eye).

When i had my 245/75s, i needed to do that pinchweld work, but i just figured id wait til the 4" system... so by that time the pinchweld had started to become exposed as it had started to tear thru the inner liner

The 265/75r16 are hitting the front sway bar when turning while driving. While not standing still they are and at full lock they are just barely missing it by 1/8" clearance.

As you might know I bought a 235/85r16 spare same height but only 7" wide not 8.5" The 235 have about 5/8" clearance between the sway bar and tire while at a stand still, thou I can tell if it hit while driving.

What should I do?

A spacer ie: 1-1/2" would push the tire out future but would make it have 1/8" clearance between the PINCH weld which currently has 3/4" to 1" clearance now.

I could buy one more 235 and put both in front. Would give more the 5/8" clearance and still about 1" from the pinch weld. Does not look too bad, you may not even notice well maybe.....

Thoughts?

This is the 235 up front and the 265 in the rear from this view.

1. A spacer (NO studs) ie:1/4" I am not sure if that would be enough..... And also weakens the connection with a full 1/4" less thread turn on each bolt.

2. An Adapter (WITH studs) ie: 1-1/2" will push the 265 so far out that they will for sure hit the pinch weld. And even if you punch the pinch weld over as I have not done yet as it is not rubbing or hitting currently. But with the 265 1-1.2" further out and the pinch weld pounded over there will only be 1/4" or 3/8" so I'm sure while flexing it will then hit the pounded over pinch weld...

3. Run the 235 up front for now.

4. Run the 265 on all four keep hitting the front sway bar, BUT while off roading I'm sure this won't be a good thing as i'm sure everything will flex more on turns and the forces on the sway bar will be more then just rubbing!! THOUGHTS?????

5 lugs on a 4.5" is your bolt pattern.

Cool gonna pick up some 1/4" cast iron spacers for $8 each and try them on the front wheels.

Do you know if are STUDS are long enough for the use of 1/4" spacers?

eh idk without lookin. im sure it would be fine with some wheels like the ones i have but idk about factory. i would just pull off a lug and see how much threading is in there and if you can sacrifice that 1/4". if you get em make sure to torque them properly and i would check every once in a while til you feel confident that theyre good.

Well its worth a try to keep the 265/76r16 up front, but yeah only if there is enough meat to grab. I am going to pick up a some on my way home and then check when i get home to pull off one lug. I will put them on if while offroading saturday the rubbing is why too much then put them on. Thanks

KJs have 5 on a 4.5"

Id be careful using those spacer "shims" as i call them. they are NOT hub-centric... this can become as issue when wheeling or if using a heavy tire/wheel setup. When the spacer get off center, it doesnt properly distru\ibute the weight of everything. They can also cause balancing issues if the are not properly centered...... :2cents:
