Get ready for less than 1/2 the power on hills, or feels like it
have to run with the OD off to maintain anything around 65 MPH
MPG drop of at least 2 to 3 MPG or MORE
this is according to the scan gauge before and after the change

Anyone who says different is full of crap
unless of course you live on completely flat ground, never go where there are any hills, never want to pull a trailer etc.

I never pull a trailer,

hills...

really only in my neighborhood.

highway driving...

maybe once a month.

my average commute is less than 5 miles.

but It might be a good idea to hold off for gears if I go 32" i guess.

i felt the difference big time from stock to 265/70/16 A/Ts on soft 8s so i dont know how people can say it doesnt make that much of a difference. i drive on mostly flat ground 45-60 mph on a 11 mile trip to work everyday, i could definitely tell from stop lights.

hmmm...

I went and looked and it said 3.73s were an individual option.

you might have 3.21s

I haven't heard any major complaints about 265/70.

usually just 265/75

1-Bad

2-Sure but your trans will hate you

3-I dropped 6-8 mpg's

4-lots of rubbing and cutting to fix rubbing

Oh and all US KK's have 3.73's if they have the auto trans, the '08's with the 6 speed manual trans got the 3.21's.245/75's are 30.5" tall tires also to the above poster.

I shouldn't have the rubbing issue much. My front wheel well liners are basically nonexistent.

I just need to pound my pinch welds.

You need to make clearance in the rear wheel wells also.

depends on rim width etc. With the 8 inch wide MOABs I have two now and really need 2.5 or 3 as mine made some nice rub marks at the Badlands both front and rear of the flare equally. Popped one rivet loose is all but ...nothing else
at least I didn't have to get a BFH out like someone in a red KJ did :ROTFL:
