Hey I paid him some money too! What gives? Is he charging us admission now Tom?!?!?!?! :jester:

Hehehehe ..... :-)r with friends like you guys, who needs ..... :juggle: any other friends? Hart and Tom are welcome at my house anytime! :ROTFL:

I thought we were going to have an engineering session  , next thing I know, Hart has crawled up into the engine compartment, " Hand me that radiator" .. "Ok, if we cut this here and just lop that right out of the way there... put a porta-power in between here and here and just push it apart here .... it'll fit!", Tom is on my right "that right there needs to come out too!" Hart - " hand me a 10mm wrench, no get a ratchet" . So we removed a couple little things, bolted on the top radiator support and hood latch, took measurements, held the new radiator up there, measured the engine to fan pulley again, looked at the engine compartment some more and yes, somewhere in all that looking, measuring, planning, cussing and discussing, fitting and bolting/unbolting Tom cut his hand. Well, I guess there was a little blood.

Also confirmed the layout for the factory crossmember C-notch modification. I'll bolt it on a layout table tomorrow at work and begin those modifications. With any luck and no machines breaking down in the plant, I should have that done by Friday afternoon.

All in all, actually a very productive afternoon. Thanks, Tommudd & BugginKJ (I'll have more beer next time!)

(and I made money doing it!) :ROTFL:

 "WE HAVE A PLAN"

It may be my JEEP but, they sure seem to be having fun with it! :ROTFL:

Thanks Hart! That just kinda gives me a warm feeling all over! No, not that kind of warm feeling!

I got the transmission crossmember laid out and bolted down solid to a big layout/fixture table in the fab shop at the factory today. Started making my cuts and wouldncha know it, I hear a voice and turn around and there's the owner of the company looking over my shoulder! He says - " Whatcha got goin' there Larry? Government job?" (It was 1pm, middle of the shift! ) I explained what was going on and he just stood there a minute. Then told me, "Well, Cool, Don't spend too much of "our" time on it, but go ahead and finish what you're doing." ..... So I did! 8) Whew! Wasn't too sure about that one! Any way, I got the cuts made and left everything all laid out on the table. I'll use my lunch and break tomorrow and get it all welded back up just the way Hart and I talked about. With any luck it will be ready to test fit on Saturday.

I didn't tempt anybody! You're the one who went to the pile and started digging things out! :goink: And I already spent the money, so no refunds! :ROTFL:

(unless you ask me for a refund! But I won't offer one! :goink: )

I didn't get anything done on the crossmember today. My mom's nursing home called me at 9:30am and told me she was on the way to the hospital! She's 84 now and not real well anyway so, I jetted right on out of work and spent the day at Flower Hospital with her. She's going to be OK, but they did admit her for a few days. Needless to say, I wasn't too worried about working on any crossmember! Anyway, all plans for any test fitting of the engine and trans/transfer case are cancelled for this weekend! I will probably be up with mom most of the day tomorrow and Sunday. I wish I could just have a boring, uneventful life so this KJ could get finished!!! Unfortunately .... life happens! Talk to you guys later on in the weekend, Larry
