So, I dropped all my suspension goodies off this morning with my Jeep at a local mechanic. He told me installation should be no problem. He called back and said he is having problems with the rear. Then went on to say that instead of putting the additional bumpstop on the bottom plate, he replaced the top factory one with it :?
So I just faxed him over instructions that took me about 2 min to find. Is this really that difficult of an installation for a mechanic. I have done my own suspension work in the past and would have done this one if it wasnt for my health problems. I dont recall it being that troublesome with the proper tools. Should I be very concerned he is going to screw this all up? He also said the rear is sitting up very high. All I have is OME springs and Blistein shocks....it cant be that high up

I sure hope he didnt make that mistake
How will I know if he did that? I didn't that that was even possible. I didnt look at these but last time I did a car the fronts were way wider diameter of a coil. Im getting super worried now

Yeah been calling around about getting my trans. serviced and got into it with the service department of my local Chysler dealership. They are running a special and have two prices for trans service one is about 50 bucks more for 4 wheel drive vehicles. The problem was that the reason it was more was because they said that on my jeep (2006 libby with the 42rle trans) has TWO filters  ...........WRONG!!!!! I tried to tell them but they insisted that since I was a 4X4 there were two filters. Needless to say me explaining the differecnes between the 45 and 42 went on deaf ears.

:dizzy:

Surf it will all work out!!!

It would be very hard to use the front springs on the rear. If he did that then you wouldnt have springs for the front, so hopefully he would eventually figure it out. Not sure why he took the bump stops out. The rear is much easier to do then the front so Id be worried about the front.

well...he said its done and im going to pick it up...so we'll see how it turned out. he said its sitting atleast 6" higher than when i brought it in. so either i got a freak set of the longest OME springs ever or this guy is confused

I think the guy's a moron

but.. i will give him this.. when ya go from stock/sagged to freshly lifted.. visually.. it does look like it's sitting a good 6" higher and if ya went from 17" sagged to 23" like i did, or something pretty close to that.. that's almost 6"

ps.

pictures :P

You're killing me. I have my lift components ALL just sitting in my garage waiting for a chance to put them in. I hope that chance comes before spring.
