I have a GDE eco tune and am very satisfied with it. I also have high praise for the customer service provided by GDE. I've emailed Keith numerous times on CRD issues unrelated to the tune and he has always come thru with a timely and relevant reply to my questions. GDE knows their stuff and helps our little community by not only answering questions related to their product. They have a strong forum presence here and are always eager to help a fellow CRD'er out.

My vote is for GDE. Keith helps out alot, his tunes work as least as good or better than anyone else's, and they all pretty much cost the same.
His support is second to none, and he's an active member of "our" community. Thats where my money is going.

im sure the inmotion and gde tunes work better then the diablo or edge because it over writes the computer and instead of tricking(if thats the right word for it) the deisel

must say im interested in both stage 2 inmotion

I agree, they put a lot of time into this stuff and even help us out with our crazy problems. Give Keith a call and ask him a few questions, that will help make up your mind!

For what's it worth, I have the HOT tune but still have the stock TC. It was behaving just fine before the tune and, after 5,000 miles is still fine. I'm not saying it won't die, but so far so good.

My wife drives this more than I do but she is a bit aggressive (does't know about the tune) and most of the miles are a combo urban cycle with freeway speeds of ~80. I do tend to push it fairly hard when I driving.

I'm probably going to buy a new TC just to have on hand.

GDE has worked fine by my 2005 and stoutdog's 2006 both with the stock TC. We both have the ECO tune, no shudder, 20% mpg improvement in town and on hwy (GPS checked and hand calculated) over stock. Just got the TCM tune, like the shifts but cannot comment on mpg, not driven enough yet and just replaced a failed opening early tstat.

Ditto on on Keith's customer service being outstanding.

Eco-tune and stock TC here as well. No problems so far. Going to do TCM tune soon. Already have it budgeted to change TC to Suncoast if I have problems.

I got the HOT tune also, probably 20k miles now and no issues. I did several tests to test the TC. I was planning on running the HOT tune and if the TC failed upgrade. It never did. I tried my hardest to get shudder by giving it as much throttle as possible w/o it downshifting and unlocking the TC and every test, repeated over and over never had an issue.

Ended up selling the CRD for a V8 grand cherokee w/6.5" lift for more off road capability. I still talk to the owner of the CRD and he's lovin it and no issues. :)

Also a huge bump for Keith at GDE on the customer service thing. Simply couldn't have any better customer service from them. They sent me the tools to do my timing belt change and even answered a couple questions I had while doing it.

**edit**

Just talked to the new owner again. He has annother 9k on it since he bought it from me. Still loving it. :)

I can echo this almost to the word. It also has turned my CEL off and drives so much better. You wont be disappointed.

You can't find a better guy for our CRDs than Keith. AMAZING support, and his tunes are fan-freekin-tastic for the vehicle.

I've got both the original Eco-tune and the original trans tune, one of these days I'm going to box them up and send in for the updates Keith has come up with.

Yes, you read that right - Not only do you get the tune when you buy from GDE, but he also will update if the dealer borks your tune OR new features are developed. Keith didn't just create these tunes and walk away, he is constantly refining things based on our reports from the field and even special requests are possible.

Worth every penny, several times over. My CRD now drives like it SHOULD HAVE originally - no CEL either unless there is a good reason for it.

I have to agree with geordi and restate what I said before about the GDE Tunes and the ECO tune. My CRD drives better smoother and getts a few more MPG, less smoke on WOT, more power and likely less trouble in the future with emmissions stuff on the engine. Kieth offers first class customer service and helps support us probably with far better knowelege than you will ever get from Chrysler on these vehicles since they aren't sold stateside anylonger. Who is better to spend your tune money with than him :?:

I bought my truck with an Inmotion already installed. It works very well. I dont think you can go wrong either way.
