02blue,
How did you change out?
Chilton doesn't really explain and I read somewhere about going thru the wheelwell.
A little off topic but I have just started doing work in MD. Are you serviced by Allegheny electric?

No we're Potomac Edison. Frederick area.

I've heard you could go through the wheel well but seemed like alot more work to me.

Anyway, I used a deep 1 1/16 socket. The "second" and last time I changed it I just pulled the fan shroud out and took off the serpentine belt. You can't really see it but you can feel it. The one PS hose is a bit tight but I managed to get around it. Its a bit tricky to actually remove the electrical connector with the oil filter there but I only had about 2k on the oil. If its too tight just unbolt the PS pump and swing it out of the way.

The first time I changed it I had everything off the front cause I was pulling both Cam covers. Had a little issue with a headgasket and needed to see how much crud was in there. That was an easy change but used the aftermarket sensor :x

Made an attempt today. But didn't have the correct socket. It looks like I'll be able to get it from the front(bottom)with a socket, universal and extension.

Changed it this weekend, it took a socket, 1/2" to 3/8" reducer , 3" extension and a stubby flex-head ratchet.
Went up from underneath in front of the sway bar. The only tricky part was threading the new one in. You might be tempted to try to bend the power steering line out of the way, but it's not necessary.

Changed out sensor yesterday.
Little hickup in that new dealer sensor had rounded edges on nut part (borrowed a special socket for that), but the one on the motor had pointy edges and had to use a regular deep socket for that. Was a pain getting connector off old one as it was caked in sludge. Did not have to remove or loosen anything with power steering or oil filter. Did most from underneath but had to go in from top at one point.
The Drip is gone!!!!!
Thanks all

No special socket for me...didn't have to remove anything else...lost maybe 1/2 pint of oil in the process...still seeing oil on the skid plate...I hope it's just residual
