WARNING: Cutting of under dash involved
What I'm working with. Left window mount is for 7" Android Tablet, right is for GPS.(Yes that is a Chewie doll, he is my copilot)

Its important to have a good supply of wire connectors lying around for such an occasion
I chose the Polk Audio db351

The stock speakers are about 2" and are tiny as heck but I bet w/o them there would be no highs. They are def a joke next to the new Polks.

Most people have said that 3.5" do not fit in the dash and technically they don't. Some modifying is necessary.

To take apart the dash I used Diggers previous thread.
viewtopic.php?f=104&t=29455There is not a lot of room between the dash and window at the top so a small ratchet is probably a good idea.

After the speakers were removed a little brainstorming was necessary.

After seeing that the Polks were going to stick out too much I decided to try and cram them underneath

I had cut around the top to check for clearance and ensure there was enough. I used the stock screws in the back because the head is a little larger then the supplied screws. I pointing where I chose to put the new hole and screw

On the front I used the new screw and stock retainer with a new retainer below the speaker to keep it all tight.

The drivers side was pretty easy and not too terribly tight. Everything hooked up fine and sounds good there. On to the passenger side.
The glove box has a tab on each side that releases it to hang down freely. The top dash piece just pulls up.
Now the tricky part where I didnt get any pics, The air bag needs to be removed for clearance to the air vent area. There are two 13mm nuts on the underside above the glove box. On the top you need to remove the two bolts (13mm) attached to the body, then everything will just wiggle free. Everything else as far as installation remains the same, but there is a lot less clearance for moving around.

I had to go in the house real quick and left my phone inside when I came back, which was my camera.
The only issues that should arise are clearance trying to get both sides of the airvent on but be patient and wiggle it back in.
With everything back in the volume at 15 sounds like it did at 20 before and it is much clearer.
As mentioned in a previous thread the output on the stock radio probably can not with stand this for very long but I have a 4ch amp to hopefully add soon and will only have these 2 speakers powered by the radio. I may also add 2 more and another 4ch amp if I can find the right place for everything. I like my music loud and to be able to hear the song not just the THUMP THUMP.
If you have any questions or comments please feel free to post them. I can answer anything dealing with my experiences and anything else I will try to find the answer.
And a teaser of things to come.
