Maybe I missed it, but you are planning to get the GDE ECO tune, right?

It turns off the VH earlier, anyway. I kept my VH in service, and the engine gets to 1/4 gauge pretty quick, and gradually increases to straight up (I have an in-line 195°F T-stat (that I really like)) operating temp over a couple more miles.

The ECO tune also eliminates your EGR issues, too. And boosts power. And boosts mileage. And makes you breakfast in the morning.
Okay, maybe not the last part.

Yes i got the GDE eco full torque tune on the way. Have to replace the convertor first. Prolly gonna just do the euro convertor. Suncoast has some very poor customer service now. Guess they wont get my business for my powerstroke project

lol breakfast in the mornig if only i had time to actually eat it lol

I must live just down the road from you. There are a few of us CRDs bouncing around in this neck of the woods.

When you're ready for the GDE tune, Keith lives close enough to drive to. You don't need to pull your ECU. (Unless he's changes his policy)

I've had the Eco full torque tune and the TCM tune for years now (100K miles I think?), and I'm very happy with my ride. My oil is clean, and the Jeep, though showing it's age, is still getting me to work each day. I've had the Jeep since new, and I can confirm that you want that belt changed soon. After that, check that that Noob guide until you can get the GDE tune. There are all sorts of little quirks for this rig. More than any other I've ever owned.

On that note, welcome to the club.

FYI, I have been told that there is a good diesel shop on 33 mile that has former Chrysler CRD mechanics. Thankfully, I have not had to go there yet. The guys at Orchard Chrysler have helped me out in the past with some electrical issues though, so I can also recommend them too.
