I must live just down the road from you. There are a few of us CRDs bouncing around in this neck of the woods.
When you're ready for the GDE tune, Keith lives close enough to drive to. You don't need to pull your ECU. (Unless he's changes his policy)
I've had the Eco full torque tune and the TCM tune for years now (100K miles I think?), and I'm very happy with my ride. My oil is clean, and the Jeep, though showing it's age, is still getting me to work each day. I've had the Jeep since new, and I can confirm that you want that belt changed soon. After that, check that that Noob guide until you can get the GDE tune. There are all sorts of little quirks for this rig. More than any other I've ever owned.
On that note, welcome to the club.
FYI, I have been told that there is a good diesel shop on 33 mile that has former Chrysler CRD mechanics. Thankfully, I have not had to go there yet. The guys at Orchard Chrysler have helped me out in the past with some electrical issues though, so I can also recommend them too.
holy crap small world it is I've seen your jeep drive by, farm on the corner is me. I believe your a few houses south of me.
shop on 33 mile is RCC I know chuck the owner. Just got my Eco tune today, ended up getting the regular Eco tune till I can get around to the TC swap.
