looking at the diagram for the exhaust on my 2006 crd it doesn't seem to match up to the one in my jeep. the diagram shows an exhaust flange with s3 nuts holding the exhaust to the manifold.
I've seen that diagram as well, and it's nothing like my Jeep's setup. I'm guessing they may have reused a diagram from the 2002-2004 export KJ's turbo/exhaust/EGR setup or something. If anyone's curious, I found some pictures of the older setup
here.

I have seen the pipe referred to as the turbo down pipe. I am contemplating replacing the crankshaft position sensor and want to make sure I don't disconnect the wrong thing. I have also seen reference to loosing a v clamp, not sure what that is or if it's the same as a d-clamp.
It looks like
this. (note that particular part isn't listed as being compatible with the 2.8L, just a picture I found)

how do you move the pipe to get more room? do you have to replace any exhaust gaskets?
There's a woven flexpipe section below the passenger side of the dashboard/footwell, which allows the downpipe to move. Just remove it from the turbo and move it away from the engine/toward the fender to make more room around the sensor.
