Heres my boring stock CRD in the dirt for the first time(less then 200 miles on the odo), what really impressed me was that it just climbed up the imbankment like it was locked up, it dident care about the tire just hanging there in the air, the TCS really works great! not sure if I even need a locker.

If Daimler-Chrysler ever realizes that there's a market for an out-of-the box tricked-out factory KJ, I imagine it will look something like this. Beautiful ride, KJ-BOL! Don't you agree that the Liberty needs it's version of the Rubicon for the off-road enthusiasts? They could call it something like a Liberty Renegade Unlimited or Renegade X. Yes, it would be overkill for most of the market, but if they sold a trail-ready KJ for $30K, I'm sure they'd sell a few thousand each year. I imagine it with the factory towing package; Frankenlift; 31" Wrangler MT-Rs or BFG Mud-Terrains on Rubicon wheels; lockers; ARB front bumper w/winch; Rocky Road Rockrails; Skid Row complete skid plates; slush/mud floormats; tow strap and hi-lift jack; Hummer-like tire pressure control.

This Liberty would be for people like me who don't have the time, tools, or mechanical finess to build up their dream Liberty. I'm new to the 4x4 game, and personally, I don't care about researching aftermarket products. I just want something that works, and I'd be willing to pay extra for that assurance and convenience -- and a factory warranty.

T.J.

Here's a thread about Renegade decals. If you want the short version with no reading...there's a place in Detroit that may or may not send you the right ones and may or may not communicate with you, or contact pixeldzn here on the board and he can make them for you too.

I agree with you on this, but...... I don't think I would have enjoyed just buying a trail ready jeep and just taken it offroad off of the dealership. I did enjoy the first time i took it on the trail - bone stock - given - it already had some skid plates.
I enjoyed also the fact that it has been changing looks little by little and there is no stopping in sight - is like having a pocket with a hole in it. you throw money at it and it just eats it :)
Not done yet.... next mods... lockers, rock rails, roof rack, rear & front steel bumpers, whinch, etc, etc, etc.

Looks awesome.

1. Is that the true color in the picture or does the sun give it a different shade?
2. Whose sliders/rail/bars do you have on?
3. Pre-lowered `02?
4. How much rubbing with those tires?

The color varies with the light so yes that's it true color(turns yellow under street lamps at night). The sliders are a custom made by buddy, similar to the tomkens ones but made with chromemoly stock and way cheaper(only cost me 2 cases of beer and alot of sweat),will have to see if they hold up.Yes it's a prelowered KJ,build date of feb 12th of '02.with the brand new skyjacker softride springs(the new coils are way softer then my old ones) my tires rub like crazy inthe front even with a 3/8" clevis lift. The reason I have new springs I had my front struts replaced and the idiot mechanic used antisieze instaed of threadlock and had a strut come undone going down the interstate so 4wheelparts sent me the whole new front lift to replace the 1 damaged strut, coil, and bottom spring plate.Trying to get customs springs made up and will let all know when I get info back next week.
