Can I put a trans. temperature gauge in the cockpit or use my Torque scan gauge?

I don’t know of any scan tool that can read the transmission temp.

I bought a cheap $10 digital temp sensor/gauge, zip tied the temp sensor to the transmission output line to the cooler, and wrapped it in insulation.
Works decent but there are better ways.

Never did find a way to read the transmission temperature using a scanner, so I installed a gauge.
See this post where I covered the install of a transmission temperature gauge on the "A" pillar:> viewtopic.php?p=927960#p927960
I installed the temperature sensor in a "TEE" block in the cooling line going to the OEM transmission cooler.
I got the "TEE" block on line, worked great.

I also added a 10 row "stacked plate" oil cooler in the opening under the bumper.
