When I ran Castrol I got a lot of peanut butter formation on the filler cap. Don't notice it too much now that I run Mobile 1.

Not we just need to find an engine part to make Fluff... then one to make bread... then we could have unlimited snacking abilities on the trails.

During the winter, I take the Lib to Valvoline to have them change the oil, since I don't have a garage, and my driveway is VERY inhospitable during snowy months. Every time I take it there, they show me the cap with the "fluff" on it and tell me I need to have my entire oil system flushed because obviously I have a "dangerous amount of water mixed in with my oil", of course I laugh at them, but it's strange how when I run Mobil 1 I never see this stuff on the filler cap...? Funny how that works eh? And it's only in the winter when naturally, the moisture content of the air is a LOT higher.

It is not the oil you use...it is the type of driving you do. Short quick trips of less than 10 miles...shut off...short trip ... shut off.

If you really have it bad, take off your valve cover at least on one side and see if there is "sludge" in the valve train. I had it very bad in my old 2002. I actually used a screwdriver to dig it out ( the main gob ).
