havent really seen a post on this before.

I'm a driving enthusiast. I enjoy driving, I dont like driving boring cars. Before my Liberty, there was a Dakota pickup, two VW GTI's, and an AWD Dodge Stealth. My KJ is so much fun to drive in the winter, and pretty engaging from a drivers perspective. Driving a little hard on a snowy road in 4wd with the traction control off is great. That kind of four wheel slide reminds me of my Stealth in the dry. I now wish that I had optioned full time 4WD because having the front wheels disengage when you get some traction in a straight line would be awesome. I can reach down and do it when I judge the road conditions to be right but that sucks if you need to shift gears right then. The steering is really communicative, you get some good feedback form the wheel. My VW's steering seemed a little disconnected from the driver - very precise but kinda "sterile" if you get what I mean.

Some complaints:
Stability control doesnt turn off all the way with traction control off.
Trac control off switch is on top of the steering column. Terrible location to reach while driving, it should be by the shifter.
I dont have full time 4wd or trac-loc LSD

the front wheels dont disconnect in fulltime, they just arent forced to turn the same combined speed as the two back wheels like they are with parttime engaged.

yay, no traction control or stability control :)

I am sure you could rig up an "ESP OFF" button near the shifter...I bet a few people would like it  A nice red button attached on the right side of the Auto stick (so as not to interfere with the "OD OFF" button) or left side of the manual stick.

The libby is by far the sportiest feeling suv I have drivin. I am glad I didn.t get the durango rt. My cousin has one and I think the libby handle better and has a more positive feel. If you consider how many times he has called me to pull him out of whatever situation he has gotten himself into at any particular time, I sure am glad to have the libby. I do wish you could turn the ESP off completely cause sometimes you just wanna drift. My wife and daughter love diftin around unplowed parking lots and doin donuts in the mud, for that we have to pile into the 2 door Blazer and thats kind of a hassle. Love the libby for the wife to drive with the esp I feel more comfortable with this safety feature.

Get some rims with 5" Back Spacing and stiffer side walls. It wont ride as nice since the side walls are stiffer, but it will handle a heck of alot better. I love the way it drives with my cragars rims and A/T tires. Im putting the stock rims and tires back on this weekend.. Only thing I look forward to is the tire pressure read-out(Cragars do not have sensors). :?
