WoodysKJ, um, thanks (I think)?
I really don't think I did anything to jeapordize the future of my family, the world, the cosmos or anything else by SLIGHTLY modifying the frame shock mounts on my liberty. You can sleep well at night, me modifying my shock mounts won't end the world or cause the universe to implode anytime soon

[slight joking sarcasm intended]
The shocks will work just fine. Do you really think that by pinching the frame mount in 1/4 inch is going to cause a life-threatening accident? C'mon man, you're smarter than that I hope! They are shocks!! no need to pray to God over them
BTW, I have worked on more than a few hard-core off-road vehicles in the past (welding, fabbing, designing my own 1-link, 3-link & 4-link suspensions, etc). I think I know what works, what is safe and what isn't. I was simply curious if someone else on here saw the same thing with the ranchos that I did - Which, BTW, someone did, so it's not a freak occurance of nature that they are a little smaller at the frame mount. Funny, the axle mounts fit up fine.
Thanks again to everyone else for their help!
