State inspection is due, and it’s likely I will need tires. I currently have five BFG M/Ts with one very good spare. I think I want to go with the A/Ts (for street-ability). I hate to buy five new tires when I have a good spare, but I’m afraid the one M/T on the back will look goofy with the A/Ts. I do have a spare tire cover I could use. What do you guys think?

Keep the mt. I personally don't think a different spare looks goofy. It will look goofy if you ever have to swap it out for a flat but I think spares are there to get you to a place where you can either have the flat fixed or replaced and then put the spare back on the back.

That's what my heart says, but my head says the A/Ts will ride better, quieter, and last longer, and they are abit less expensive. Unless I buy five to have the matching spare. Then four M/Ts would be cheaper.

I'm confusing myself! :?

I have ATA KO's on right now and they do handle and wear well on the road. However, it looks like I might be getting MTR's and I will probably just leave the KO spare (which has never been run) on the back.

Just make sure they are ALL the same size. I read somewhere on here wher the IFS does not like to run, and is bad for it to run, two different tire sizes, even for a little time.

Tread difference may also be an issue. I would get all 5 new. and be sure to rotate the spare into the 4 on the ground when you do your regular rotations.
