I'm looking at installing a 2.5" spacer lift (Daystar) in my 2.8CRD, but so far here in SA, EVERYONE warns me about possible vibration after lifting the KJ ... apparently something to do with the different angle at wich the driveshaft and CV's will be working or something in that direction .... now I've heard that they say that you can eliminate it, by lowering the transfer case a bit after doing the lift, but doesn't that counter the whole idea of lifting? ...
Or is THIS SPECIFICLY why they say you should not lift the CRD more that 2.5" ?? ... in other words I will only experience this problem if I try to lift it MORE than 2.5" ??? :?

First everyone there is full of it, lifting a KJ 2.5 inches will not affect the drivelines like it would with something with a solid front axle. Daystar is a great kit and it will work great. Just do it and prove them wrong

I have the 2.5 daystar on my 06 CRD. I have a little vibration out of the front driveshaft. I think that it is out of balance. The vibe is real bad in fulltime 4x4. It was like this before the lift. No extra vibration because of the lift. one day I'll get it rebalanced. I hate to say it has only been in 4x4 once. Only took 5 minutes to get it back out...

I have Daystar on the front of mine, for about 40K miles - no vibrations - no problems.
