it's on 05-6 only 3.7s from what I found

After reading up on it thats what I found also. Not sure what techs tjkj was talking to though???

http://www.jeepkj.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30363

If plug #2 was wet and black then its either not getting a spark, its not getting compression, or the injector is messed up bad and not spraying a fine mist. You can get a compression gauge at the auto parts stores and check it yourself. We actually found one on sale at walmart and it works great.

Is it still under the power-train warranty? If it is, check the compression and if its low take it to the dealer and tell them to get-er-fixed.

Weird.

One of my techs has spent the last 5 years with a Chrysler dealer...he mentioned the 05-6s having some issues when we were talking about my rough idle (he chalks it up to normal 3.7 idle)

He did mention that they're prone for head warpage though (no surprise there, being an aluminum head)

I read up on that a little and it seems its due to it being a 90 degree V-6. Said thats common when V-6's are chopped off from V-8's. Gets the balance all screwed up. Not sure if its true or not.

Never heard of any warping issues with the 3.7. Guess if you over heat it really bad then anything is possible.

Thanks JeepJeepster - I am probably going to have to take it to my mechanic at this point. As stated before I replaced all Plugs with NEW And the Coil Pack for that #2 Cylinder. So I don't thing "No Spark" is and issue unless there is a wireing problem of sorts, but all looks good as well as the connections. As far as an Injector being bad I'm not sure becuase - Would a BAD Injector cause a Tingling Noise? I was Kinda led to belive maybe an Injector, becuase this all started without any signs or warning other then a Severe Temprature drop over night. I Also put on a new PCV Becuase Jeep Libertys are known to have the PVC Freeze in extreme COLD Tempratures. Thaks again for the input, and I look forward to your comments.

My recent experience with what seems like the same noises, lights flashing, wet plugs, etc. led to about three hours of shop time for my local mechanic. Apparently, I had two loose rocker arms on CYL 2&6. I'm not sure how the repair was done, but that was all that needed to be done on mine.
Get yours to the shop ASAP before it goes really bad. ie damage to catalytic converters, bent valves, broken springs or more.
My mechanic was close, less than one mile. So I drove mine in....if it's much farther than that, I would tow it.

Good luck

ohh dang, thats a good deal! The dealer would of charged twice that to take the valve cover off!

Why did it come off? That would be something good to know.

I'm not sure why it may have come loose. But I can tell you that everyone else here at LOST Keeps repeating "Common Problem" I wish I knew or I would tell you. For those who are aware of this problem and issue, I have asked for more detail detail detail, so we can all become alittle more knowledgable about this issue and get some real answers. My KJ is a 03 with 106k Easy miles. I Always maintain it well, never beat it up on the trails. She is my daily driver and stays on the pavement most always. All this came with no warning at all, and never happened until our weather went from 36 degrees to -12 overnight. So Again I have no idea myself and would love to hear some ideas and get some real answers.
