it's on 05-6 only 3.7s from what I found
After reading up on it thats what I found also. Not sure what techs tjkj was talking to though???
http://www.jeepkj.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30363If plug #2 was wet and black then its either not getting a spark, its not getting compression, or the injector is messed up bad and not spraying a fine mist. You can get a compression gauge at the auto parts stores and check it yourself. We actually found one on sale at walmart and it works great.
Is it still under the power-train warranty? If it is, check the compression and if its low take it to the dealer and tell them to get-er-fixed.

Weird.
One of my techs has spent the last 5 years with a Chrysler dealer...he mentioned the 05-6s having some issues when we were talking about my rough idle (he chalks it up to normal 3.7 idle)
He did mention that they're prone for head warpage though (no surprise there, being an aluminum head)
I read up on that a little and it seems its due to it being a 90 degree V-6. Said thats common when V-6's are chopped off from V-8's. Gets the balance all screwed up. Not sure if its true or not.
Never heard of any warping issues with the 3.7. Guess if you over heat it really bad then anything is possible.
