Dyna Beads?

Has anyone used the dyna beads? Since I rotate my own tires, the dyna beads would bypass the need to balance the tires, which is a plus. Another benefit would be for off-roading: Instead of wheel weights getting knocked around, knocked loose, and knocked off when wheeling, this would keep for a clean wheel and less worry. And if the dyna beads are going to prolong the life of the tire and keep for a smoother ride, then it would seem logical. So now that I've ordered new tires, I’m thinking about getting them........... I guess for an easy install, I can throw the bead package in the tire before mounting?

you can use air soft beads also... some were there is a big topic about it

From what I’ve read, they both work really well. There are some who believe that the dyna beads are a little more effective; especially for a taller, heavier, and more aggressive tires.

I've been looking at these for a while because like the idea of losing the weights and never have to re balance. I am not sure which is the right product on their website. They have the larger ones that don't fit in the stem and are for larger off road tires. I also wouldn't be sure how much to use per tire. 5 or 6 oz. per tire maybe.

For highway driving using the Dynabeads or airsoft pellets is a great way to go.City driving is not there strong point since your not going fast and making many turns which upset the beads and un-balance the tires.Many built rigs use these due to being cheap and they can live with the un-balance issues while turning and they have rather built axles that can take the abuse from a large un-balanced tire.

So this may be a dumb question, but how much harm is caused in a "city driving" situation by an unbalanced tire? I am thinking city driving=30 mph or less. So are you really getting a tire spinning fast enough to cause enough vibration or eccentric loading to break something? Maybe my frame of reference is off a bit and I am just not realizing the amount of forces generated at 30 mph.

Your bearings,tierods,and balljoints won't like you very much.

I run them in my 35's on the JK. they work great for the balancing, and make a pretty neat noise when you come to a stop. They won't balance out until 18 MPH on my rig, and they fall back to the bottom of the tire when I slow down to 3 MPH.

I got them in the mail last week

5 filtered Valve Cores $5.50
5 Dyna Beads EZ Open Bag (5 oz each) $47.25
1 Valve Core Removal Tool $3.25

For my small 30X9.50R15’s, I doubt that I’ll need 5 ounces per tire, but that’s what I ordered. The guy said it’s better to go too much than too little. He said with mud drying on wheels, etc, can create a bigger need for more weight.
