new question. just finished the front ome springs and rancho struts. now what is the easiest way to get the teraflex bumpstops in. the old ones pulled right out but i cant seem to fudge the new ones in. any ideas would be great.

I used a shovel and it worked great. You put the tip of the shovel in the spring, then keep the lightly greased up bumpstop in place with one hand, pull up the shovels handle with the other and it pops right in.

wouldnt that hurt the coils? with the added pressure from the shovel?

no, but a 2x4 on the tire is just as easy to pop in the front bumpstop. you dont even have to touch the spring. dish soap works great

so i ended up doing it with brute strength. found out that if you put the front side in first and just man up and push the back in you can do it by hand. a little wd-40 to lube it up helped to. and the shovel idea is great i almost pee'd my pants when i read that.

Oh not sure if you know but drill the hole first, install the spring then reach through and put the Hockey pucks and bolt in works great. I know I got one phone call and the person bolted in the two HPs and then tried to install the spring, didn't work so well

For my front Frankenlift I used Teraflex front bumpstops. I ordered them from Jeepin'ByAl... They were super easy to change...Pull the stockers off and push the new, longer Teraflex bumpstops in. I read somewhere that some grease on the new bumpstops would help them go into the cups; and also that a 2X4 could be used as a lever to help push them into place...I greased the Teraflex bumpstops lightly and then used a SHOVEL (round nose, rounded side facing up, wedged between the coils of the front springs) to help lever them into place.
For rear bumpstops is bought a large, cheap, rubber mallet. I cut the wooden handle off of the mallet, then I cut the rubber mallet head in two right along the mold line using a hack saw. I drilled a hole through each half of the mallet head and ran a stainless steel bolt through each mallet head half. I placed a stainless steel washer under the head of the bolts and counter sunk the washers into each mallet head half with the appropriately sized drill bit. I then drilled a hole for the stainless steel bolt to pass through the lower spring seat, and secured it using an appropriately sized stainless steel washer and stainless nylock nut.
If I'm not mistaken the length on the bolt was three inches, and the diameter of the bolt head was 7/16" and the nut was 1/2", or maybe vice-versa...It's been almost a year since I did that.
You don't have to use stainless steel, or a nylon lock nut, or even washers, but it was worth the extra $1.25, in my opinon.

Ordered 8
only need two per side in most all cases
also no glue needed just drill holes and bolt them down ( install the hockey pucks after you install the springs)
