Ummmm...English comprehension grade = F. F like in French. Go back and see if you can find the team for whom I root. It is neither the Bengals nor the Browns.

My beloved Ohio Bobcats will raise up to smite those who doubt them. Eventually
The Ohio Bobcats? Seriously? We're discussing football teams that actually make a blip on anyone's radar outside of the city in which they play.

All Hail the Vikings!
Got my Allen jersey yesterday. Too bad it is a bye week. I'd like to see some more Bear and Packer stompin'.
So you live in Ohio, but are a fan of neither pro franchise in your home state? What's wrong with you?
However it does explain how my Saints homering is getting under your skin - since your team will be in our house Sunday. If only the Vikings could have put more pressure on that bastion of quarterbacking superiority, Jay Cutler. Then the Saints would be in Minnesota right now instead of at home in nice, 60-degree New Orleans. . .

But just out of curiosity: I wonder who has the best records in the last, say, 40 years between the Bengals, Browns, and Saints? The sad state of Saints history has been mentioned by a certain Ain'ts fan already......
I decided not to quote Wiki to get an accurate record here, since you deny the existence of valid facts published there, regardless of the sources quoted. But, most likely, the Saints would have the worst record of the three. (Depending on which Browns franchise you count. If it's the current one, then they would be worst.)
But I will say that no matter how much they have sucked, I have never NOT rooted for the Saints. They are in my home state, they are my home team. Period. I am a Saints fan, WHO DAT!!

If what you have done for me lately is all that matters, how did LSU do this year? What BCS bowl did they play in? Add this: Tressel will NEVER be dishonored by scandal.
LSU BCS Bowl wins vs. appearances: 4 wins, 4 appearances = 1.00 average
OSU BCS Bowl wins vs. appearances: 4 wins, 7 appearances = .571
To what scandal do you refer?
Jim Tressel may never be dishonored by scandal, but he has been dishonored for mediocrity and for too-conservative play calling. Just my

Red Stick is still a stupid name. Unbelievably stupid. Maybe if you used the words that the natives did, instead of the langauge of that horrid country across the channel from England, it would make sense. Google that!
I can see that Red Stick would be a stupid name, if that was what it was named. You know, kinda like Circleville? But Red Stick is only the TRANSLATION of the name. So, English comprehension grade = F.
Let me make a suggestion, look up "etymology" (on Wikipedia, if you want - the sources could be very useful to you) and see how many common English words originate from other languages besides English. If you want, you are welcome to get back to me with your findings; it's shocking to realize that English, particularly as spoken in the United States, is basically a collection of words drawn from other languages - including French. Then maybe you can stop resorting to personal attacks on the translation of the name of the city I call home.

Columbus blazed the path for European colonization of N. America. Notch one up for Columbus.
Strange then how he never actually landed in North America, huh? I agree he blazed the path, but he actually landed in what we know today to be the Carribean. I wonder if any capitals of Carribean island nations are named Columbus? Hmmm, I may need to check Wikipedia. . .

Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, W.Virginia... This region was the actual western frontier that MEN tamed to make this country.
Ever heard of Lewis and Clark? I would encourage you to read "Undaunted Courage" by Stephen Ambrose. They explored this tiny, tiny parcel of land called The Louisiana Purchase. You may be shocked to discover that Minnesota was actually a part of that territory, though contested by the British. Strange how things come full circle, huh? Minnesota was once governed via New Orleans, and will be again on Sunday. . .

Speaking of MEN: Jackson Square sure has a lot of them...so Ain't fans can engage it a bit of tax-free commerce in some alley before the game.....
Dude you sure focus on this a lot. Not saying anything, just pointing it out.

Wiki? Citing Wiki as if it was a legitimate reference is an automatic fail.

Sorry, but you should have known the rules.
A statement like that is indicative of someone who does not fully understand how Wikipedia works. I doubt that you are as familiar with the rules as I. GI Joe used to say "Knowing is half the battle." Strange how that works, huh?

I understand how badly you need this. The Ain'ts are about the most inept team in NFL history, the super dome is in a ghetto, and all you have to hang your hat on is a cult festival that actually violates the tenents of the cult it claims to honor.
You don't know the half of how badly we need this. I will be extremely disappointed if the Saints do not play to the fullest of their ability. I firmly believe, as a football fan and not just a Saints fan, that if New Orleans plays up to their own potential, that they are the better team. Maybe the best in the NFL. I want them to win badly. But on the other hand, it is just a game, right? Nothing personal. . .
As far as a cult festival, seriously, it's easy for an outsider to see it that way. The prevalent debauchery is used as a tourist draw, much like Las Vegas. But there is actual meaning behind the spectacle, some participants observe it and some use it simply as an excuse for excess. I guess it depends on your perspective and familiarity with the culture behind the facade. (A French word, you know - see my writeup on "etymology" earlier in this post)

And now, a lagniappe:
Katrina was an underachiever................
That is not lagniappe, that is immaturity. A lot of people died, real people. It doesn't matter what color they were, or whether they were criminals, they are DEAD. Finis, (Latin, not French) with no hope of making a change in their life or circumstances because they are gone. Who knows what future scientists, doctors, etc., may have died? Criminals, future criminals, immoral and destitute people, etc. may have died, but the point remains that because of that, they did not have an opportunity to repent of their ways and make a change. In Ohio it may have been a media blitz that you got tired of hearing about, but it really happened. If you had family here, I doubt that you would make that statement.
And, because of that statement, this banter (meant to be playful) is now over on my part. If you cannot recognize this for what it is, and just participate in light "trash talk" about football without crossing the line into a personal attack like that, then that is your loss. That's not how I do business.
