Best of luck. I had not bought anything from you yet however found your site the other day and had decided on one of you front bumpers and was going to get one around the middle of the year. O well. Be of luck to you and your family. Glad to see people still putting family first, many have make then number 2 in life

Marty,

Having your Skink sliders, rear bumper, front bumper, and having you help do the JBA 4" lift on my KJ, I can only say that my Jeep would not look as good as it does if not for your help and generosity. Your kids definitely come first over anything and being happy is very important.

As for the snorkel. The thread asks for those interested in a snorkel from ARB and I said yes. As for the pricing. There is no way in heck I would pay that price for the snorkel when I have seen most other snorkels by them (or was it some other company..old age getting me) sell them for about $300 for other vehicles. That one model out there for the KJ right now is higher but still much cheaper than the expected $700. I am thinking that price was including an install price also, but I could be wrong. I am just interested in what they put out and if it is reasonable, competitive, and looks better, then I will consider it. Nothing more.

Get your Jeep ready for the trails this Summer. I expect you to be hitting them with us this Summer. No excuses now. :jester: :goink:

Thank you for all that you have done for me and the rest of the LOST croonies.

Instead of a banana avatar....let's shoot for the real thing:

There goes the only rear bumper I had ever considered/dreamed about buying...

looks like I'll have to wait for the "jurassic park" reincarnation of RL Fab, if it ever comes...

have fun hitting the trails! :JEEPIN:

Sorry to see you go. You did create some of the best products out there and your customer service was beyond first class. Your skills will definitely be missed, but I'm glad to hear your going to get back into a more normal schedule and that you'll get a chance to spend time with the family.

RL, our Liberty community is lessened by RL's extinction but every one of us should understand your decision and that immediate family needs must come first. Best wishes to you. I bet by this summer, you should be reaping the desired benefits of your decision.

You guys/girls have to remember that just because Marty is bringing an end to RL fabrications (mass production) doesn’t mean that he’s putting the tools away. RL fabrications started from a hobby. Marty will still continue to make custom parts as part of his hobby. And if you read closely, he did say, “I will not be doing anything except local custom stuff and the occasional SFA conversion. I am going back to my happy days of having a fun hobby that makes an extra couple of dollars on the side that I can use for my kids and myself.”

Hate to see ya go. Almost as much as I hate to see good Ideas get thrown in the garbage. You should sell them to someone that has the facilities to back them up like Warn, ARB, or talk to one of the jeep suppliers. I would rather have my product live on and make a little on each one than kill it all together.

I just recieved my Skink Super Sliders last week and upon initial inspection they look to be of the highest quality. I am excited and proud to have your product on my KJ. Thank you for making quality parts and service a priority and enjoy your time with your kids, I have 2 under the age of 3 myself, and don't be a stranger on this site or KJ Country.

Wow! Just came across this! I am glad to have a now Limited Edition rear bumper! Like the saying goes, "money talks and bull$hit walks". Family first should be everyone's credo. They are the most important things in life.

No. The two elevated end pieces won't be on the `05-07 models due to the fascia design. Easier to do the newer models than us old geezer but better models.

I am very saddened to see RL go. I moved to AL from CA to get away from the crowds and to have a better, less expensive, slower paced quality of life. I had figured that after being here almost two years I would finally be able to afford to start ordering some accessories from RL but I completely agree "FAMILY FIRST", the Jeep can wait.

Good luck Marty and enjoy every moment :JEEPIN: :CAMPING: that life passes your way.
