Seems like no one had a concept of safety on this video. It sucks that his axle was jacked but It could have turned out 10 times worse had someone been hurt (like i thought at the beginning)

Well, on the bright side. At least the axle is almost all the way out for the D44 and the long arms. :ROTFL:

this is why you never pull a vehicle with a wedged axle from the side the wedged axle is on. especially if the side you are pulling on is 1. downhill, while also 2. sideways, and especially 3. in a hole.


seems like common sense to me.

WOW that was painful to watch. I'm not that knowenegable about off roading yet but just looing at the ways they tried pullin that poor XJ looked all wrong, I was sure it was going to be pulled over on its side.
I don't know if that was at an off road park or what, it said filmed in Treverton PA that's a few hours from me. I sure want to be sure I never go wheeling with those guys. What tools they are.

Exactly, the force from the recovery vehicle only goes to wedge the axle in more.

This is one situation where if the only recovery choice was this angle then pulling from the axle would have been better.
