my guess is your trig's aren't always that high, you were just unusually lazy for a day or two or had a really big fatty meal before getting bloodwork?

I wasn't told to fast before the test,so I knocked down two strawberry&cream cheese Toaster Strudels at 5:30am,and tested at 8:30am.
Think this may have had an effect on this number?

If you are willing to make bigger changes than that, let me know. My levels are great, but I have a diet that makes the vegetarian cringe  .

No way man,I tried the vegi thing when I was round 24ish.
Ended 4 months later wit an 80 dollar buffalo loin.

I wasn't suggesting that you should be one just letting you know a reason why I'll live longer.

But seriously.... green-leafy vegetables will help out a lot with the triglycerides levels.... watch those because they can be an indicator of diabetes and are really bad for your heart.

Coffee will help you to not get colon cancer.

So does ruffage and minimal caffine.

They got this invention called decaff.

Steak and french fries with a tall glass of the coldest brew til the day I die.
Don't care if its from a massive heart attack when I'm 36.
Atleast I'll have a stomach full of some delicious food when I die. :D

Oh, and I eat like a 300 pound man. :pepper:

Steak won't kill you. Botulism from bad salad dressing will.

Keep eating like a 300 pound man and when you get to be a little older you will weigh 500 pounds. When I was your age I had a 30 inch waist and weighed 136 pounds. Ate everything in sight and gained no weight. Now I have a 36 inch waist, weigh 210 and have to be careful of what I eat or I will get huge.

You're still good unless you're like 5 foot tall. Just exercise. Huge can be healthy.

While not true carnivores like cats, for example, we are certainly designed as omnivores (like a bear or a dog) and have the teeth and digestive structures to prove that meat was an intended part of our diet. Have you ever been downwind of a broccoli-stoked vegetarian? :dizzy: Look how many people are sickened each year from contaminated veggies. That, and I am certain that, if we could just but hear it, that carrot is screaming in agony as you rip its living flesh from the ground and severe its root structure. Living is living..... :-)r

Not so good.

Guess all that good coonass food has caught up with me.
I will be making some healthier choices from here out,on what goes in my body. :banghead:

Here's my results:
35Yr old Male
Total choloesterol 216__Desirable under 200
HDL-29mg/dl__________Desirable at least 40
Triglycerides-295______Desirable Under 150

These passed the test
LDL-128mg/dl_________Desirable under 160 or 130?
Glucose-88mg/dl_______Desirable Under 160
Blood Pressure-109/70__Desirable Under 120/80

Anyone else have any recent results they would like to share.
What's the best way to lower this stuff?

My company did the same thing a couple of weeks ago, but they didn't tell us everything. My HDL was about the same as yours. I've been taking Mega Red and fish oil for my cholesterol. I also have high blood pressure that I've been taking medication for. Losing weight can help with those too. I gained weight after I got out of the Navy so if I lose it all back off, I can probably come off the blood pressure medicine. I've been trying to make healther decisions too and get more exercise.
