Following your logic it would be safe to assume that the chemicals I use here at work that are labled" This product contains a chemical known to the state of California to cause cancer" are safe for me to use because I live in Wisconsin?

Sure, close all the windows and doors in your workshop and wipe the chemical over a large surface area, inhale deeply. As long as you are in Wisconsin, you should be fine.

Do you seriously believe that the number of pollution sources, the geography, and wind patterns have nothing to do with health effects on the population? Do you seriously think that these factors have been ignored in the pollution models used by CARB?

You local water, sewage, roads, police, and fire departments are staffed by bureaucrats who want to control you. Refuse to pay taxes before it's too late. And that education you received at public expense, demand to reimburse the taxpayers.

The largest bureaucracy of course is the Department of Defense. With its 1000 overseas bases and their 234 golf courses, it IS out of control. It is never lumped in with those evil ones like Social Security, Education, and Health, though.

Did I tell you that you should be ashamed of driving a CRD in Wisconsin because it pollutes more than an average car? Did I tell you that Wisconsin should adopt CARB standards? Why are you, a non-resident, trying to tell Californians how to regulate their air pollution?

That is like saying, Why should I care if the Drug Cartels Run Mexico.
Because they are jerks who abuse power, just like CARB has done.
Criminal activity across a border effects what will happen in my area or where I travel.
Hint Gang Bangers Speak Spanish and have connections to Mexican Drug Cartels and cause problems.
CARB has connections to other states who adopt their regulations and the EPA, get rid of the Criminals in CARB and the mess will be cleaned up.
As far as CRD pollution lets site NOX. Assuming the table I posted from the EPA in a previous post is not corrupted by CARB's tainted DATA, Agricultural Soil Management (food production) produces more NOX than all mobile equipment including Diesels by 6.9 times. To put it into perspective the Grass in Silicone Valley puts out more NOX than the Diesel trucks, cars and the Prius Hybrids combined. Assuming all the adds for duct cleaning have some shade of truth, Indoor Air Pollution is worse than out door air pollution (they claim 100 times), my sinuses, are in agreement with their findings. CARB has committed criminal acts by falsify and exaggerating DATA, water treatment operators and engineers would be facing criminal prosecution and civil liability for falsifying or exaggerating DATA, and those in CARB who did wrong should face the same. Government agencies and officials should not be above the law. When some one looks the other way because of mutual political agenda or party affiliation they are no better than those who committed the crime. As far as I an concerned, anyone who defends the CARB criminals is no better than they are.
For anyone who wants to drag up the BP oil incident, the Bean Counters who cut safety protocols that resulted in the explosion, deaths, and spill should face prosecution, prison, and then rot in Hell.
If you want to drag up Katrina, I attribute that problem to Stupid Arrogant Civil Engineering by building a City that far below sea level and so close to the ocean. Sir Isac Newton rolled over in his grave over that stunt.

Sorry to here about your erectile disfunction and tinnitus. Judging from your previous (and deleted) post where you confused "Cheeseland" and "Forest Land", there may also be an ADHD component.

Get well soon, and as they say in Blighty, "Keep Your Pecker Up".

CARB exists because the legislature created it. You apparently know more about California's air pollution problems than the peoples' elected representatives do. Perhaps, you will be asked to appear at a hearing in Sacramento where you can enlighten the legislators by parroting back what the lobbyists have written on the KillCARB web site. Perhaps you can also enter CARB's falsified data into evidence and name those who should be sent to jail for fraud.

I went to private school, homeschooled our children. I own my septic, drilled my well and pay for many people who do not work. I pay huge state taxes. Maine is #1 in welfare and #49 in job opportunities. The state is run by Democrats that adopted CARB rules. We have no police department and have volunteer fire dept in this town. Most of our property taxes pay for teachers but the kids cannot read, go figure. Tell me I need more government? I need good DIESEL, not liberals telling me how to live.

And you built the highways you drive on, too. And the education of other residents of Maine and their health is of no concern to you because you are a rugged individualist.
Maybe one day when you are out in your woods cutting firewood, a tree will fall on you, paralyzing you for life. Maybe by then the majority of citizens of Maine will be similarly conditioned by the non-stop right wing propaganda in the media, and will decide to put you down lest you become a public burden.

The vehicle emissions standards in your state were set by your democratically-elected legislature. CARB did not set the regulations in your state.

A "new" logic model has been uncovered on this board. Knowledge gained thus far:

Chapter 1 New Logic Exposed [cliff notes]
:dizzy: Specifically stated, your democratically elected legislature adopts CARB's rules yet CARB has no impact on your state.
:dizzy: When you're a proud citizen of the "Death with Dignity Act" State http://www.oregon.gov/DHS/ph/pas/index.shtml you're to accuse right-wingers of putting people down when ill. In times past, so-called right wingers only wanted this when a person was convicted of a heinous crime, usually with additional aggrivating circumstance. It was the so-called left wingers that wanted the right to die when they wanted and the right to kill if they carried it. To some, saving the planet via population extermination was OK (they never went first). According to this post, the rules have miraculously changed.
:dizzy: Point out problems with CARB, your lack of legal residency in California is pointed out. However, living in another state and defending CARB? Well, that's just peachy. :jester:
:dizzy: If you persist with CARB's failures, you are to be an "expert witness."
:dizzy: Rugged individualist? Not so fast, you had nothing to do with the Revolutionary Way, Civil War, Meat Packer Riots, WWI and most likely WW2. If you think you are self-sufficient, it means that you have not paid enough to others while they sit on their rears. You have no "fair share." Your fair share is redistributed as "the people's" share.
:dizzy: If you ignore someone because you realize they are more comfortable at a G8 anarchists rally than in a board room, you did so to the detriment of your manhood. Likewise, you are also chronically distracted. Somehow, when losing one's manhood, you are not to be distracted. Interesting. "Focused like a lazer beam?" Maybe. The reason for "Hanging Chad?" Likely.

Chapter 2?

So you think that YOU should be setting the regulations instead of your legislature? It's CARB's fault because your legislature adopted their standards? That's backasswards logic.

: When you're a proud citizen of the "Death with Dignity Act" State http://www.oregon.gov/DHS/ph/pas/index.shtml you're to accuse right-wingers of putting people down when ill. The point was that even rugged individualists may become dependent on the society which they reject.

: Point out problems with CARB, your lack of legal residency in California is pointed out. However, living in another state and defending CARB? Well, that's just peachy.

The inciters here were not 'pointing out problems'. They were alleging fraud and calling for jail without being able to define the specifics of the alleged crime or the perpetrators.
I'm defending the right of the citizens of a state to determine their own air pollution standards, and condemning the right-wing chorus of out of state ditto heads who want to impose their personal whims on those citizens.

:If you persist with CARB's failures, you are to be an "expert witness."
Warp seems to think that he knows more than the CARB scientists or the legislators who authorized and fund CARB.

: Rugged individualist? Not so fast, you had nothing to do with the Revolutionary Way, Civil War, Meat Packer Riots, WWI and most likely WW2. If you think you are self-sufficient, it means that you have not paid enough to others while they sit on their rears. You have no "fair share." No, I wasn't involved in any of those wars or riots.

If you ignore someone because you realize they are more comfortable at a G8 anarchists rally than in a board room, you did so to the detriment of your manhood. Likewise, you are also chronically distracted. Somehow, when losing one's manhood, you are not to be distracted. Interesting. "Focused like a lazer beam?" Maybe. The reason for "Hanging Chad?" Draw me a diagram.

I have watched and heard your lame arguments long before you were a thought of your parents and rejected your failed arguments on my own. If any of your hated boogie men agree with me, that is a coincidence, nothing more. To be honest I find there is more credence to the Junk Science, Female Hysteria as a medical condition, than the CRAP you put forward.

I must apologize to the nice people on this website. You have a great site and you try to help anyone that has a motori that comes here with questions.

I am afraid people like wobbly are my fault

I have been a diesel hot rodder for many years. In my younger years I thought it was great fun to smoke people out whenever possible. As I learned more I began to understand that that smoke was actually wasted power and while it is funny (to me and my inner children) it is a waste of fuel and it does load up your oil. So this type of thing happens infrequently now. Normally I save it for tailgaters and for the really smug prius drivers.... I fear that this is the case now.

I do remember a prius with Oregon tags...driven by a prissy little man who was obviously better than everyone else around him... I know my truck is old and loud but it too has feelings and does not like to be sneered at by prius drivers.

So most of you can imagine what happened. He had his window down (no ac for this guy) so it was a simple thing to get beside him since he was driving slower that the rest of the traffic...I'm sure most of you know the type

So eventually I caught a light just right.. the rest was pure poetry...I stuffed it in 3rd to keep the boost down as long as possible, dropped the clutch and let her buck... before he disappeared I saw him waving his little hands around trying to clear the smoke that filled his car... my truck tells me that the prius was laughing so hard that it stalled...anyway once the turbo lit we were gone and I had not thought about it until I read this thread.

I understand if the moderators ban me for this ...It is probably what I deserve and I am truly sorry for inflicting this person on you, I am not however sorry for what I did.

wobbles; why don't you follow me over to the tdr or diesel bombers or duramaxdiesels or compd we actually enjoy your kind over there. There are a lot of guys there that are named bubba, jed, joebob and so on... some of them have most of their teeth. Now that the generator at the trailer park is fixed we usually have power most of the time. With the economy being what it is most of us cannot afford to race as much as we like so hammering epa trolls fills in the slow times.

By the way as long as the government keeps hiring people such as yourself I don't think the rest of us has much to worry about. Oh and about the personal exemption that I have from epa/carb if you would like to see it I keep it on my middle finger.

kind regards
jim

I see Smoke as wasted energy and smoked tires as an insult to Sir Isac Newton, instead I want to see the WTF look on the face of the Prius driver when I silently shoot through the intersection.
I saw the following sticker when I was in AZ a couple years ago and had to make one myself. Since I did not compose it, I hold no copyright and you are free to copy and proudly display on the back of your well tuned Diesels.

A few times Prius drivers pulled over onto the shoulder as I passed them up. We had a discussion on why a few months ago and most felt that Prius drivers just don't know how to drive.
One thought I have had for tail gaiters is to install windshield washer fluid nozzles so they shoot fluid onto the offender's windshield. Make sure you use CARB/EPA/DOT approved washer fluid :ROTFL: :ROTFL: :ROTFL:

Oh and about the personal exemption that I have from epa/carb if you would like to see it I keep it on my middle finger.

kind regards
jim

I'd reply, but I need to get to the bank to cash my retirement check from CARB.

I will stick with my Wife, my family, my friends, my work, my CRD, and my other hobbies including my machine tools and gun collection.

How could you leave out your dog? BTW, with your fabrication skills you might have a niche market here for a hood-mounted gun rack/flag carrier/ hunting dog perch for the Liberty.

I will stick with driving a tractor at the collective farm. We just got a fleet of new ones. They were designed in Iran and assembled by Industrias Bolivariana in Venezuela. They feature the Iranian version of the MV Motori 7 cylinder turbo diesel and they are fully CARB compliant.
