4x4, 4x2? If it's 4x4, does it have selec-trac II?
$24,975 is what is showing for the basic Sport 4x4, so if it is for a Jeep Liberty Sport 4x4 it's probably a decent deal.
As far as pros and cons... Depends on what you want to use it for.
-Pros : It has a pretty capable 4x4 system. It will take you anywhere you want to go within reason stock, but there aren't a lot of aftermarket parts available for it yet. I believe it is the last year for the Liberty before they take away everything that makes it an offroad jeep. The selec-trac system is very nice for snow and ice, and it still has 4x4 low. 5,000lbs towing.
-Cons : There are a few known electrical problems, take a look at the tech forum for more info. If you're not going to wheel it, there are much better daily drivers in a midsize SUV. If you are going to wheel it, there are better platforms to make an offroad rig out of, they're just not as plush. Doesn't come stock with a locking rear diff. The stock tires suck.
Overall I've been very happy with my Liberty, and everyone has been suprised by how capable it is, but it is a compromise vehicle. There are better platforms for both daily drivers and for offroad vehicles. I went with it for the 4x4 system, the towing capacity and for the slightly shorter wheelbase over the Rubicon Unlimited. But I have mine set up for an expedition vehicle, not for a balls to the walls offroad platform.
When I decide to build one of those I'll buy a... Unimog

Or a Ural
