I have to pull the engine for a rebuild, and need to removed the A/C compressor and Injection pump from the engine.
Is there any way to do this without dropping $275 into the Vm.1067 tool?

Most of the time you can improvise these special tools but if you want the real thing there's a couple on ebay at the moment for half that price.

yes.. its possible..I did it..
change the timing belt and CP3 without the proper tools..

will I do it that way again..NO!
too much of a pain in the butt..

I would guess it took me an hour just to get the new timing belt back on..then time to check that it was right..
then reassemble..

I didn't get the right tool to hold the injection pump gear, but my air impact knocked the nut off in short order, and the tool made it easy to pull the gear.
