Unfortunately need to resurrect thread. Issue with CRD has returned

. The only way I can now run jeep is with ASD relay by-passed.
Vehicle has been trouble free since last post above, but approx 3 weeks ago intermittent starting(no crank) returned. I have re-checked all relevant wiring for shorts, correct resistance, voltage etc. via Jeep WI to no avail. Evidence again pointed towards ECM which I duly sent back to be retested under warranty. ECM has been tested with no fault found? I am now thinking that it maybe a SKIS issue as the immobiliser light on dash illuminates, flashes once and then stays on permanently, with no MIL light illuminated at all. The MIL light should illuminate when key is turned to on position, but is not?
I have also found a few worrying wiring routing/protection issues during my investigations(pics taken), which I think are from factory and also numerous mistakes in the workshop instruction schedules manual, especially the wiring diagrams.
I have spent way too many hours trying to rectify issue and now believe it has to go to Jeep dealer for correct DRB111 diagnostics. My VCDS(VAG-COM) tool will only read ODB11 functions, and it will not even do that if the ASD relay is not jumped (30-87). Any help whatsoever is greatly appreciated.

If the SKIS light stays goes ON then the ECM is happy that the correct SKIM code has been sent to the it...the ECM.....
but it should not stay ON.
The ECM then energizes the ASD relay and expects feedback from the ASD relay that it...the ASD relay...has energized properly at which point the light should go out. First swap out the ASD relay with a one next to it.
I had the exact same problem.....one of the leads coming from the ECM to the coil side of the ASD relay had broken so although the ECM told the ASD relay to energize...this did not happen. By jumpering pins 30 and 87 together in the ASD relay socket you are fooling the ECU that the ASD relay has in fact energized.
You need to check with a meter that pin 86 on the relay does get +12 volts via fuse 6 (30 A) in the box under the hood and that pin 85 does go direct to ground..this is a Brown/White wire which goes to connector C2 pin 34 on the ECM...you need to trace this wire from the relay to the ECM pin to check for a break. Or else the ECM is doing its job of not grounding the relay due to something such as the "Park" or "N" interlocks not working....have you tried starting it in "N" instead of "Park"?
I presume you do have the circuit diagrams for your 2006 CRD to check these out?
