Hey does anyone know the cheapest place to get the wiring harness for the mopar hitch?
If you have a uHaul near you try them too, it won't be a mopar specific but will still work. It just depends on if Jeep already pre-ran all the wiring harnesses which wouldn't surprise me since its cheaper to just run them and not need them than to need them and run them later.
The OEM harness comes with a relay pack and some other things. Make sure that you don't let anyone splice into your wires, there will be damage as a result and that's a nasty can of worms once it's opened.
Thanks for the info everyone. Yeah Ted I wasn't planning on going to the dealer to install, I'll try to find out as much info as I can here and on jeepforum so I don't have to waste my money for someone else to read instructions to install it

I found a few places that have the specific 7-way harness. JustForJeeps has it for $140, MoparOnlineParts $125 and Amazon for $123.
About the same price as when I got mine in 09.
I'm not a fan of aftermarket wire kits. I stick to MOPAR parts for mine.
I've never had issues with any after more than 30 years of using them. So worth the money.
I did learn something or relearned it. Towing my kayak trailer I was told I only had right turn/taillight, on trailer. So I looked wire pulled out of left taillight. I pushed them back in- should be good! Next day No lights! What?
So going to the left taillight - last known issue, I find no problems. I spent about 2 hours checking everything. Didn't find a thing. Then I took off the 7-4 way adapter dirt had built up in it. Cleaned it and all lights worked. Of course if my test light had a bulb or if my wire wasn't broke on my meter, I'd have found it sooner. But at least I now know my wires and lights are all in good shape.
