I found a low mileage CV and intermediate shaft on

I would love to do it myself however I am handicapped literally. I was in a bad car accident and shattered my wrist and lost 30% movement, doesn't sounds bad but trust me I am unable to lift anything heavy and pul/tug on stuff without being in pain. My buddy who did my lift can even look at it until next thur cause hes so backed up with sidework. who knows if the axle will last that long. I am more worried if when the tech changes the axle if he will still reuse a worn intermediate shaft. I think I will let them know please replace it anyway. Are these front axles a problem with liberties that are lifted?
Sorry to hear about your wrist. That definitely makes turning a wrench harder/ near impossible.
I think your CV should last through the week. Granted, I haven't heard how bad it is, but mine went for about a month or two between when I first noticed it and when it got so bad I decided to stop driving on the highway, and got it changed. The junkyard I ordered from sent me both the right CV and intermediate shaft, so getting the tech to install both was not a problem. I wanted to do it myself but didn't have the tools I needed. Called up my mechanic and he said he could put it in for $100.
I don't think our lifted liberties have CV issues in general, as I haven't seen many KK folks post about that, and a lot of us have lifts. It happens to the KJ's occasionally, but they can get remanufactured CVs from Napa. Napa doesn't have them yet for KK's because of lack of demand/newness of the vehicle I suppose. I'm sure eventually we will be able to buy them there.
I didn't go to the junkyard to get the part myself. They shipped it to me. I was able to choose one that had only 20K miles on it (donor vehicle was rear-ended). Maybe you could get one that way?
