Alright. I have been away from the forum for a while so i'm not up to date on the latest stuff. I searched but couldn't find much (like always i suck at it)
Here is the info.
19 deg snowing and a little breezy. I'm still in the process of engine/trans/tcase swap on my girlfriends XJ so since we had some snow on the roads and the jetta TDI doesn't have snow tires she was to take my jeep to work this morning (530am). I went out to start it for her and no go. Cycled the plugs 2 times it would cough just a little and then just sputter against the starter. Ended up doing this for about 10 mins, off an on so i didn't overheat the starter although as cold as it was that should help. So I ended up starting the old 98 TDI and taking her to work..

The only time my jeep has never fired for me was when it sat on the top of a hill in the wind when it was -16F overnight and not plugged in. I did have one bad GP that i replaced as you will see later. The whole time it just acted as if the GP's were not on long enough, Like when i try to start my powerstroke and i don't work the manual solenoid long enough. Or the same with the jetta for the manual solenoid i put on it.
Ok changes since last winter
Inmotion stage 2 tune
Hemi tcm
euro TC
intake elbow kit (sasquatch)
ETECNO 7V Gp's I replaced all 4 (purchased in jan. of 14 and installed in may of 14)
Fuel in both the CRD and TDI was from the same place as far as i know.
Neither the TDI or CRD was plugged in.
Anyone have any problems with the inmotion tune not runing the GP's long enough? and is there a way to manaully run them since this is a stupid 7v circuit?
Edit- i located 2 threads about bad steel GP's after a few months already. Looks like that may be my cause? I'll have to check them when it warms up i guess and i'm not coughing my toes up through my lungs.
