Question is simple; Which of these two are the better tire. Firestone tire is significantly cheaper. But with less aggresive tread from what I can see.

Between those two, I'd probably go with the Firestones. BFG At's were designed like 20 years ago and technology has improved since. I've ran a couple sets on another vehicle and wasn't dissappinted with them, but there's better stuff out there.

Have you looked at Goodyear Duratracs? I've had mine about a year now and they've been great. Only real complaint I've heard is the sidewalls being on the weak side. If you get them make sure you get the load range C's.

I love my Duratracs as well. I know they're on par with the prices of the BFGs. I'd offer to let you see them, but I have no idea when I'll even be close to Mt. Sinai again.

They're starting to get pretty common out here on the island. The problem is, if you do a lot of highway driving like me, you're mileage will take a hit(and they hum a little...). They're aggressive, to the point I heard someone call them "tweeners" as in the mid point of an A/T and a M/T. It's true, but on the bright side I get a ton of compliments on them, especially from the women around here 8)

If you want something less aggressive or less common, I'd suggest taking a look at Hankook Dynapro ATM RF10. I've heard nothing but good things about them, and they aren't too aggressive.

But between the 2 you chose, I can't say. Never ran them. I know the BFGs are pretty common, but as ATH mentioned they're still running the same tread pattern as almost 20 years ago. It's outdated now. And honestly, I prefer lugs like on a M/T compared to their "lugs". They just never seemed aggressive to me. On the other hand, a lot of Firestone guys have been pleased with the tires. But I think a lot of them run Destination M/Ts.

Have ran the Destinations and the BFGs ( for short time)
Between those two the Destinations hands down
BFGs would be 99th on the list of tires you should run

Duratracs have never let me down. I can't vouch for the Destination ATs but Firestone makes some pretty nice tires. In fact, I'm gonna order a set of Destination MTs soon

Yes installed at 129,000 miles now at 212,000 , rotated every 3-3500 miles. Still good tread.

Still burn good from stop signs as well

Holy Cow!! Thats a ton of miles. I love the duratracs tread. I do not like the sidewalls that's my only dilemma its too bulky looking. I like a flat sidewall with White lettering. I actually looked at the Goodyear silent armour's and they look nice too.

I've been driving for over 44 years and have never had a set of tires on this long
Actually starting to get tired of them
