Does anyone that has done the ORM and added the circuit board have any update positive or negative. Are The kits still available?

I did the ORM at 22,000 miles. When I would get into it on the
interstate, black smoke would pour out the back. Cleaned the
MAP sensor, did the ORM and the EHM.
Installed the SEGR at 23,000 miles. Started on a diet of
cetane boost and 2 cycle oil additive to every tank full.
Libby runs now like it is supposed to run without all
that junk dirty up the system.

I've had the SEGR installed for 6 weeks now and it runs great. No check engine, no EGR, Jeep runs great.

I just stayed with the original ORM option of unplugging the MAF sensor and clearing out the fault code with the ScanGaugeII each time. CRD runs good and my soot level was only .44 on my last oil analysis at 6200 miles.

Where did you get this ScanGaugeII?

Been running the SEGR for several months now, no issues whatsoever.

techTim: I've done the ORM to the 'talian tractor and am planning on installing the SEGR you designed. I understand, by what I've read in some of the posts, that someone redesigned the circuit board included in the "kit". Have there been any changes in the design of the circuitry from the one that you have hyperlinked on the original SEGR site? I'm planning on gathering the parts and just building my own (yes, Thanks to you!) and was wondering. Also, did you all use milspec chips in the kits and/or in the design? If not, do you think it's necessary?

Hi Jim,

The easy way out is to just put yourself on the list for the new kit. Then, all the parts and connectors and the box itself will be sourced for you. It may even be cheaper to take advantage of Loco's economies of scale, versus ordering the individual parts. Of course, if you enjoy the challenge of sourcing and building from scratch, you should do that.

Actually it was TurboTim who did the design, but to answer your question, there are no electrical changes between the PCB designs. The chips are typical commecial grade chips, and you would not gain any benefit from using industrial or mil-spec as the silicon between temperature grades is identical, only the specs are different. Believe me, we are not relying on accuracy or gain specs in this appliication, only your wallet would notice the difference.
