The Rockfather lift is OME coils and shocks can't screw that up too bad!
How about their OTT lift which was the way to go according to them?
They have been bad for years its not a new issue with them. Do they try and make things right, well ask Stump what he has been through! Instead of them saying we are sorry send them back, they said it was his fault.

Is that anyway to run a business ???

Would you operate a business like that blaming the customer instead of looking into the problem?

If we don't look out for each other who will??

Done with ya!

Diesel I wasn't attacking anyone but you guys can all think what you want to think, RRO has my respect for even attempting to make products and I'm sorry if you have an issue with that company. I myself haven't had any issue with RRO when ordering but what do I know. Took JBA awhile to finally "master" the A-Arms so let's wait to see what RRO does with these.

You’re still missing the point. This discussion isn’t about RRO making products, this is about poor customer service. JBA is known for good customer service. If you aren’t happy with JBA products you can always return them.

Once again I will state as I have in previous posts which none of you care to read obviously I have stated: I agree with what you are saying RRO has left a lot to be desired I am not saying that their products are "TOP" of the line stuff. I was saying that people have bought their stuff and if people buy their stuff then A: Either the stuff really isn't that bad, B: people are idiots for not listening and go ahead and buy shoddy products, or C: They really are shoddy products, they deserve to be put down and kicked out of the KJ community and anybody who buys the product should be shunned. I mean seriously? IF you think that I believe that RRO is a "TOP" notch company you are far mistaken, I just feel that they should be given a "CHANCE" on the A-Arms because how /darn/ many times did it take JBA?

Sure JBA has the customer service but according to BigBlue from JeepKj he said: I will be giving RRO UCA's a score 3 out of 5 (5 being the best score) for a few categories. First off I want to say that this product could be awesome....if the distributor would have included any instructions at all, and the engineer would have actually had knowledge of the KJ's anatomy.

Customer service=5. RRO responds with in 24 hrs to questions (even on weekends)

Install difficulty=3. Having the right tools makes this project so much easier. proper deep well sockets in 18 metric (good luck) are needed with about 12-18" of extension...and small hands.

Engineering=1. The bushing zerk fittings for greasing are practically unserviceable once installed. Ive been to 3 shops and they all said that this design was horrible and that they cannot get to the fitting to grease it.

Directions= 0....there were none

Overall rating= 3 out of 5

If you take a hammer and bang out some room on the top of the body mounts to allow the zerk fitting to travel w/o rubbing....
If you grease the bushings FIRST before you install the UCA's....

Then I would give this product a 4.5/5.

But right now as it stands....the unserviceable bushings are worthless and I cant rate this higher than a 3/5

According to Stumpjumper they are made of steel I give them a 1 out of 5

Don't forget the BFH needed to get them into the pockets

Those beautiful bushing squeak like crazy

Got my directions from JBA's website

Not even on a good day
If you take a hammer and bang out some room on the top of the body mounts to allow the zerk fitting to travel w/o rubbing....

Don't worry you can just pull them out in a couple thousand miles and regrease :banghead:
Then I would give this product a 4.5/5.

Maybe you can take a couple more sides on this arguement... Why don't you go to bed, think it over and come back in the morning prepared to defend whatever side you choose. I think you may want to read your own post from the previous page and figure out why so many people here would like to smack you with your own keyboard.

I don't have to say what I've ordered from RRO and I am not going to. I have ordered from them and I had "good" service I wouldn't say great or the best but "good" it was comparable to Rough Country's CSVC Dept

Translation
My dad likes them and ordered some bump stops from them and they were the best ever. Mom said she would beat me if I didn't agree.

Are you friggin kiddin me> you guys are goin at it for people posting actual issues, and problems with products from a company?

Reports like that save people

1. money
2. time

and possibly their lives

should a product be under production with questionable engineering..

I think me and stump came to an understanding but tom can still go admire him self 8)

Mike it was a misunderstanding apparently, Stump thought I was defending RRO and I wasn't I was trying to say I haven't had any issues with their Customer Svc dept but I was sympathetic with him and it was misconstrued by ppl on here...

and Digger I still need to get you laid, get your /booty/ on facebook more often! :SOMBRERO: :SOMBRERO:

I'm not trying to get in the middle of this, but...

what is the big issue with telling people what you bought from them?

here I'll start.

I got My custom roof rack from Boiler, Who even helped me Install it for free, not only that, but when I ordered it, he quoted me a price, and even though he found that it took more complete than originally quoted, he stuck to his end of the bargain, none of that, "well, it ended up costing $XXX so that's the new price" like most custom shops will do.

I bought my spare tire cover from a local 4x4/Offroad shop called Trails West. Who up until recently never claimed to know anything about Liberties, They looked at me like I was Crazy when I told them someone made a real lift kit for the Liberty
(they lie about how many liberties they have worked on nowadays, claiming "dozens at least" although I'd bet it's less than 3)

I bought My K&N Air Filter From AutoZone, because they had the lowest price

I order My Amsoil Products From JJsKJ, because his price Is excellent, he Is a fellow KJer, And he is a pleasure to do business with

I bought isolators from JBA, they were on backorder, but I had them in less than 2 days after he got them. He even called me to make sure I realized they were on backorder.

I bought my Franky from AllJ's, They kept me well informed about my order status, as I had to wait for them to get the much sought after discontinued rancho struts.

I bought my rear skyjacker shocks at Jeggs locally because they were the lowest price I found, and they had them in stock

I tried to ask a Question about ordering some springs/spacers/etc. from RRO and NEVER got a response.

however, I still haven't ordered those particular parts from anyone, as I don't Need them yet, I just want them

Now, what did you buy from RRO, how was YOUR experience, and what was your reason for choosing them over their competitors

your response to THIS QUESTION will give sufficient backing for RRO.

Anyone else who has an opinion on this thread should follow suit, and answer IN THE SAME FORMAT.

this doesn't need to be a flame war.

Also a fact: People honestly shouldn't /witch/ and moan about companies that are providing support for our Jeeps. I mean really they don't have an obligation by any means so with that being said I would like to commend Rocky Road Outfitters for at least trying, yes there are some problems with the design and their customer service but at least they are trying. Also to Jeeping by Al and other companies thank you for making things for my Liberty as well because without you guys some of (US) wouldn't know where to begin or end, and a personal thanks to Long Tall Texan and Boiler you guys seriously make some kick /axx/ products and keep it up!

Everyone will always have their opinion no names needed TOM and others but to you I just say this: Before you get on your soap opera about how this company sucks or that company sucks how about you take time to think, hey at least they are trying and if you have any concerns maybe you should bring it up to them not /witch/ and moan about it on the forums 24/7, and since everyone has their own two cents I do to, and there's mine :SOMBRERO:

I don't know what this garbage is that we shouldn't bit and moan about the incompetant companys that attempt to provide support for our jeeps. They don't have an obligation to it but they want to make money. You make it sound like they are doing us a favor :banghead: If you want the truth its on page one. If you want screwed put in an order. Here is a picture sense you doubt me.

Image

No I didn't photo shop it just in case that is where you were going next. If all I wanted to do was bad mouth RRO I wouldn't have been asking Troy and Tom for help over the last month about this problem.

Not trying to re-spark any arguments but it looks like RRO updated their website, and they may have a point:

PLEASE NOTE: Anyone who has had alignment problems with these arms is because they have mounted the ball joint to the bottom of the control arm. Look close at the picture to the left for correct orientation of the ball joint coming in thru the top to alleviate any installation or alignment issues! The bumpstop mount is on top of the ball joint which is on top of the control arm...
Image

Still doesn't make their customer service or product any better though... :(

If you look at my pic above that, the ball joint is in through the top of the control arm...

Sorry, I'm definitely not an expert. It just looked to me like the balljoint was mounted from the bottom, and a bottom plate was mounted on top. Now I realize their is no plate on the other side of the balljoint. Maybe looked that way because the bolts/nuts were mounted opposite from the other picture.
